A special shout-out to this man for helping make this project come to life. Dad, you are my hero. Youโve taught me so much about so many things, but some of the more hands-on things really stand out when I look around at all the undocumented changes we had to make to get this thing open. You get the job done the right way every time and I admire that so much.
You didnโt just teach me how to turn a wrench or connect a wire or spin a screwdriver. Long before this project, you were showing me how to select pipe and fittings and valves, how to route them, glue them up, tighten threaded connections without breaking them and then test the whole rig for leaks. You showed me how to safely extend wires from a panel, tap into a junction box, pull wires through new conduit and down the wall, out through a hole we cut then install a box, wire the receptacle and patch all the random exploratory holes we made along the way. You showed me how to raise studs and drywall, tape and mud the joints, sand the crap out of everything before priming and painting everything to perfection. This time around, we got to do all of those things together and it was awesome.
The important thing is that you SHOWED me these things and taught us by example from a young age. The first tools I bought were all the ones I could remember you having. You let me work WITH you and now we get to work together and learn together. It feels like we could tackle any project with enough Dr Pepper and trips to Loweโs. This has been a true custom fab job in true Dunbar fashion. Youโre the best, Dad. Thanks for always believing in me and for supporting me without hesitation. I am so honored and happy to be on your team.
