📌Tips for Potty Training & how we train with your puppy before going home!🐾

🐾As soon as you bring your puppy home, get out of the car with your puppy in hand and go to the exact spot in the yard where you want them to use the bathroom. Let them smell and explore for a minute and see if they will use the bathroom.

🐾Then go into your home to the area where the puppy will be mostly. Let them explore a bit, see if they want water, just love on them and hang out together20-25 minutes.

🐾Go right back out to the spot they went before and go through the door you will always use to take them out.

➡️Suggest putting them on a leash and carry them to the spot and set them down and hook the leash at the spot. Don't say anything, just hang out there. They will usually go again in 5-10 minutes, if they don't, go back in and come back out, repeating until they go to the bathroom.

🤔REWARD or NOT??
Some feel Yes others No.
When do you reward? As they're going? When they stop? IMO, I do not reward as using the bathroom is self rewarding.

➡️After they've gone to the bathroom, let them play and explore another 5 minutes. This helps so you do not create a puppy that will hold it just to play. They learn so quickly! So, if you take them right away back inside they will hold it and go to the bathroom in your home.

📌I feel by creating them the opportunity to associate the feeling having to go, the reward of relief, and then you get to play, helps them quickly understand what is expected.

German shepherd 👏 puppies 👏 nip.
That’s what they do 👏 if you can’t handle/train out the nipping 👏 don’t get one… These dogs require lots of attention, training and stability 👏
The cool dogs you see on TV or in the hands of people that look cool… guess what, they’ve been trained 👏 this is a 10 + year commitment, not a fashion statement 🙌
P.S… I will never “sell you a personal protection dog/puppy” I will produce puppy that is capable of personal protection work but I will also tell you only in the right hands of the right trainer will you create a personal protection dog out of a puppy, it ALL takes hard work and dedication.
