Brooders are full of American Bresse chicks. In about 16 weeks some of these will be filling the freezer. American Bresse are known as the Wagyu of chicken. They are one of only a few breeds of chicken that actually has marbled meat.

We will be separating some of our chickens into breeding groups soon for the upcoming season to hatch out some new birds for ourselves. We have American Bresse, we got our starter flock from Fat Chicken Farm in June of this year. We also have Creveceour, our original flock came from Sue Dobson. And we have Icelandics, our original flock came from Whippoorwill Farm. Would anyone have any interest in buying day old chicks? I would also have hatching eggs available but probably not until spring. If you are interested please let me know which breed you would be interested in.

We also have Bourbon Red Turkeys, Ringneck Pheasants and Coturnix Quail.

Every night the chickens get locked in the coop to keep them safe and every morning they fight trying to get out first to get to their breakfast.

The birds have been moved to a new area of the pasture. Fresh grasses and more grubs = delicious eggs and a happy healthy flock!
