Wonderful day at the TKC All Breed Conformation Show. So many beautiful dogs. Show is today and tomorrow at the Delaware State Fairgounds.

Planning for the Show is a year long process. Way to go all TKC members for working so hard to bring the Breed Show to Harrington, DE.

AKC Canine Good Citizen & Trick Dog Testing & a Fit Walk - September 21, 2024 at the Delaware State Fair Grounds.

Talbot Kennel Club will be hosting a Special Attraction testing for Canine Good Citizen, Canine Good Citizen Advanced, Trick Dog (Novice & Intermediate), along with FIT dog at the TKC Conformation Show, which is held at the Delaware State Fairgrounds.

It is a great opportunity to test your dog's skills along with seeing many different breeds competing in the show ring.

GREAT NEWS!!!

There has been an adjustment in the classes that are being offered at the October 26-27, 2024 Talbot Kennel Club Scent Work Trial.

Trial #1 (October 26, 2024) will offer a Master Buried class.

If you have already sent your entries and would like to add this class to your entries. No worries. Here's the steps to update your entries:

Complete a new entry form and select ALL the classes you would like to enter. Submit a new check and WRITE on the mailing envelope REVISED ENTRY.

Once the Trial Secretary receives your entry she, will substitute your original entry with the new one and shred your original check. This does not impact your chances of your entry into the trial as it is a Random Draw.

October 3, 2024 - 2pm - 5pm (set-up for TKC Barn Hunt trial following practice)

Talbot Kennel Club will offer introduction and beginner training as well as tunnel work and upper level courses.

Classes to be taught by 3 experienced Barn Hunt judges:

Cost is $25.00 per dog for all levels except Intro and Novice dogs which will be $30.00.

There will be a discount of $5.00 per dog to anyone who stays to clean up at the end of the practice.

Canine Good Citizen
Trick Dog

5-week session starting Saturday, August 10th.

Class dates are:
August 10, 17, 24, 31
September 14 (no class September 7 due to OB trial)

Talbot Kennel Club will be holding AKC Rally Run Thrus on Monday, August 26, 2024 (4:00pm - 6:00pm) at the TKC Training Center.

There will be two courses: (Master/Excellent) and (Novice/Advanced). Each entry will have 2 minutes and 30 seconds to complete the course (or work on specific areas). You can run the same dog for an additional session at a reduced cost.

Run Thrus are open all, so feel free to share.

Talbot Kennel Club is excited to announce an AKC Scent Work Judge's Seminar will be held at the Talbot Kennel Club Training Building on Saturday, November 16, 2024.

This one-day seminar satisfies the seminar option for new judge candidates and counts as continuing education for current judges. Participants must attend the entire day as a full participant to meet the AKC Scent Work seminar requirements. The seminar will be split between classroom instruction/discussion and hands-on activities.

There is Judge's Full Participation spots, along with Audit spots. Even if you are currently not pursing to become an AKC Scent Work judge this seminar is still very valuable for anyone that wants to learn more about Scent Work.

Talbot Kennel Club is excited to share a new "MEMBER SPOTLIGHT" campaign that features members of TKC.

TKC members have tremendous knowledge and expertise in the canine arena.

This campaign will be in several phases. The first phase is featuring AKC judges.

The first spotlight is TKC member Jean Nocilly. Jean will be judging the 2024 AKC National Obedience Champion in July.

Talbot Kennel Club is proud of Jean and all of her achievements and will be cheering her on at the National Championship.

While our agility instructor, Frankie Joiris is recuperating, everyone enjoyed a chance at agility run-thrus at TKC.
