Dr. James Burns has been serving the needs of Montgomery County MD pets and their owners for over 35 years. His reply was, "What is a veterinarian?" The neighbor told him that they were the people who took special care of animals… and the rest is history. Having an animal in your home can be a very satisfying and rewarding experience. Pets have been a part of man's society throughout history; and

they can provide security and companionship for people of any age, any s*x, whether living alone or in a family environment. For children, a pet is an outstanding "learning tool." Through a relationship with a pet, a child can find a deeper meaning for such words as loyalty, love, friendship, and responsibility. To admit that you love a pet is a testimonial to your caring and compassion. The bond between a person and their pet is unique, and is one to be cherished. At Flower Valley Veterinary Clinic, Dr. Burns, Dr. Martof, and their friendly staff, Susie, Kim, Stephanie, Alexa and Alexis understand and share your compassion for animals. You can be sure that your pet will receive the very best care and attention at every visit.

Would have been something to see!

A German shepherd who had gone missing was rescued after she was found stuck high up in a pine tree. The dog's owner believes the pet may have been chasing a squirrel when she ended up in her dangerous predicament.

Cool, wet weather is prime growing seasons for mushrooms. Make sure you keep a close eye when outside with your pets for these potential dangers. While many mushrooms may not cause any problems, some can cause serious problems and lead to a trip to the veterinary emergency room. Correct mushroom identification can be challenging, so it is best to keep your pet’s away.

In response to the current population crisis we are facing, we have decided to WAIVE all adoption fees for ALL ANIMALS until further notice! 🐾

The Office of Animal Services is committed to helping every Montgomery County animal in need. But never turning an animal away means that we need ample open kennels to keep saving lives.

This is where you come in! When you adopt from MCASAC, you not only give a homeless pet a loving family of their own, but you also create much-needed space for us to help more animals in need.

In hopes of finding more pets loving homes, and caring for the countless more who will find themselves needing us soon, every single animal will have a $0 adoption fee until further notice.

To view all available animals, please visit: https://www.montgomerycountymd.gov/animalservices/adoption/index.html
