Mutts Matter Rescue is a 501(c)(3), all volunteer based, non-profit, dog rescue organization. We work in conjunction with shelters and other organizations, to help save animals on death row, the strays on the street, or ones in unsafe living conditions. Whenever possible, we also assist on large scale cruelty cases, such as puppy mills, dog fighting cases, and other animal related situations that

require urgent attention. If space allows, we do try to assist dogs who, because of extenuating circumstances, are unable to remain in their homes with their owners. Our founder and president, has over 20 years of experience working in rescue. MMR's team of volunteers have worked in rescue for many years as well, and many are certified to assist with complex animal cruelty cases. Our main goal is to end cruelty, abandonment, mistreatment, and homelessness of man’s best friend. In addition, we hope to educate people on the importance of animal welfare, and the importance of spay/neuter. Mutts Matter Rescue adopts in the DC, VA, and MD areas, with a few exception out of the tri-state area depending on the dog and situation. We are driven by love, compassion, and hope.
