Another bittersweet day! Pigpig was transported to his forever home! After 10 hours traveling, this boy finally made it home and it enjoying some yummy weeds!

Today is a bittersweet moment. Dev, the sweetest baby on earth, finally went to his forever home! I am going to miss him so so much because he was my little cuddle buddy. But he'll have the best life with his new momma! He's going to be an indoor piggy and will have a piggy sibling too.

I gave him so many kisses goodbye, but the good thing is they are close so I can visit! I tried not to get attached, but how can you not to such a loving, sweet boy.

Pigpig got his neuter today! We had $120 of the $170 bill donated so I'm very thankful for that!

We also found out that this sweet boy is a lot older than anticipated. The vet said 10 years or so based on his teeth, and that explains why it's hard for him to put on weight. He did very well though and is waking up from anesthesia now. He was totally zonked the whole car ride home.

She usually runs them around but she let him lay this close to her! 🥰

Introducing; Junie!!

June Bug will be staying here at P&P's while her momma and daddy find the perfect place to live with her. She is a BIG girl, I thought Pumbaa was 200lbs but idk now... June Bug is 230lbs and the absolute sweetest. Given how big she is, we're gonna need to build her a special house just for her to fit in. She's gonna be rooming with Hershey and Rudy, who aren't sure about her yet. Hershey likes to think he's the top hog, but she runs him off 🤣

She immediately took to me, and I fell in love with her. She lays down for belly rubs and is just oh so sweet. I look forward to spending days just hanging and loving on her

Sorry it's been a while since piggies got posted. I've been very busy and very sick 😫

BUT! I want to get back on track to introducing my pigren.

Next up is Susie Q, who is more special to me than people know. The story of how I got her is this;

I was trying to rescue some pigs near me and it didn't work out. My friend Toni Mansfield messaged me and said "I know the perfect pig for you!" She then showed me a picture of Susie and said her name was "Curly Sue"

Now. Toni had NO idea but I lost my grandmother, Susan, in 2017 at 63 to cancer. She basically raised me. And when I saw Susie and her name. I knew she was meant for me. Mawmaw had curly red hair, just like Suse! My pawpaw called her Susie Q all her life, hence the name change. It wasn't far off from Curly Sue, and she took to it quickly and loves it.

AND! She was only 20 minutes from me! So on top of getting this beautiful girl, I made some new wonderful pig friends and have been helping when they need it and they've helped me. And plan on adopting more pigs from them.

So here is Susie, my mawmaw pig. She has her temperament even. She can be sweet and loving but feisty too 🤣

When you need a quick fix on a kennel. You use a 100+ year old outhouse door that was still on your property when you bought it.

The bottom will have a latch so the piggies can't push it open. The top latches onto the post

And now Penelope's story!

Not long after getting Pumbaa, I realized he needed a friend. So the hunt began! I looked for a few weeks before I found this little girl on pet finder and got her in Oct 2020. She was at a sanctuary about an hour away.

The sanctuary told me her story; they were helping another rescue rehome some piggies from a terrible hoarding situation. Two older people had over 120 pigs! To say the piggies were neglected is an understatement. Penelope hadn't been around humans hardly at all and had no socialization with them at 5 months old.

I took on the challenge and it took just a few weeks and hours of sitting st her level with grapes, but Penelope started to trust me! Now she'll lay down for belly rubs for as long as I'll give them. And gets dramatic when I stop, or if I pet her siblings and not her at the same time.

Though, her and Pumbaa are inseparable now, she loves her big brother 💙 And she's staring to warm up to Susie Q. You'll hear all about Sus in the next episode of introducing my pigren 🥰🐷💜

As promised I'll be sharing the stories of my forever babies.

We'll start with Pumbaa! Where my life changed completely and I found my calling 🐷🐷🥰🥰
I got this handsome man on a whim while coming off anesthesia. The convo went like this;
Moms then bf calls: Hey, do we want a pig?
Mom: Uh, can we eat it? (She's practical...)
Bf: Idk, lemme check....... No, it's a pet pig
Mom: No, I don't want it then
Me high as a kite: I WANT A PIG!!!!

I knew absolutely nothing about pigs.

I still had trouble believing I was actually getting a pig until 2 days later, Pumbaa rolled up. He came from a home that kept him in a 10x10 mud pit with no shade, water or shelter. And had dogs next to his kennel. He has a scar on his back that doesn't grow hair. I'm assuming from a dog attack. He was only ever fed dog food his whole life. He was very small, underweight and sick when I got him. He quickly grew and I learned incredibly quickly how to keep him happy and healthy.

It's been almost a year to date since I got my baby boy and I can't imagine life without him 💙

Bits is doing great, but boy does he get mad about sharing his veggies with my pigren! He also had a little dip in his wallow.

Mikie will be coming back this weekend, he and Bits will have a little layover, but I got the space to keep them safe and separated. Can't wait to see Mikie again!!

I'm sure Bits will be ready to see his momma again on Saturday

Mikie just went home, all the pigs were sad. I forgot to get a picture, I'm gonna miss that cutie. But the sadness won't last for long, he'll be coming back next weekend!

Welcome Mikie! I'm piggysitting this adorable boy for a little over a week and he is just precious!

He's an indoor pig, about 6mo old, and I'm very positive he will need a bath, or several, when he goes home. He loves the mud and talking with my pigren!
