A little about me: I am located in MN just south of the Twin Cities and my personal love affair with the ASH began in 1990. I am a certified veterinary technician at the U of MN Veterinary Medical Center working in the ER and ICU department for almost 24 years. I have a specialty degree in Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care Medicine. Veterinary medicine and animals are my career as well as tr
ue love and passion. My first and foremost priority is to preserve the quality of the ASH though the deliberate breeding of outstanding quality ASH. This involves This includes healthy kittens that will be treasured family additions. I will only have a planned breeding when I have a sufficient number of reservations for potential kittens. Breeding ASH will be screened for congenital abnormalities such as Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy (HCM) and pedigrees fully evaluated to prevent over hybridization with breeds such as the Persian, Exotic, and Burmese cat. Secondly, I aim to preserve the wonderful qualities and characteristics that constitute the true ASH breed. Ethically breeding is not a prospect for a money making opportunity, rather it is a desire to maintain and improve those traits that make the ASH the unique breed that it is. I have a planned breeding for the beginning of March and will hopefully have 2 litters around the middle of May. Pet quality ASH will be available for $900 and show quality around $1300. Shipping cost is variable depending on your location and will be an additional cost. A $200 deposit will be required and be held until delivery of kitten and deducted from total at that time. Kittens are guaranteed to be healthy and free of infectious disease at purchase. This includes feline leukemia negative, FIV negative and ringworm free. Kittens will be veterinary examined, spayed/neutered, fully vaccinated, dewormed, and micro-chipped before leaving the cattery (included in the $900). Kittens will be kept until the age of 12-16 weeks which is not only optimal for their socialization but also necessary to fully determine pet or show quality status. If a show quality kitten is desired I will assist and mentor as necessary to the best of my ability. New exhibitors are always welcome and necessary to the survival of the cat showing world! Showing cats can be a fun activity for the entire family as well as for your ASH. It offers the opportunity to educate others on the unique traits of the ASH, a chance to travel, learn about other feline breeds and to forge new and lasting friendships with other cat lovers. Kittens are raised in a home environment with dogs and well socialized to handling and common household encounters before being placed in their new home. Exceptions only being times where kitten/cat is in carrier, enclosed stroller, outdoor play enclosure or harness and leash with an adult. In select cases, the no declaw clause may be waived however, only after appropriate alternative measures have been explored. If there are other cats in the buyer's household, the new kitten/cat must be quarantined until the buyer's veterinarian verifies the good health of the new kitten/cat within 72 hours. Failure to do so, will result in a null and void health guarantee. In the event of any circumstance where a kitten/cat is either diagnosed with a congenital or medical condition that threatens the life of the kitten/cat OR if for whatever reason you are unable or no longer able to keep the kitten/cat, I will be contacted and the kitten/cat will be returned to me at my expense. I will stand behind any kitten/cat I place fully as a responsible breeder and strive to be a great steward to standards and requirements set forth regarding the ASH breed by the CFA and TICA registries. At this time resulting kittens from the planned breeding will be classic silver tabbies. Occasionally other colors or tabby patterns may be available or I can refer you to others who can provide them if desired. You may view my page at Silver Mark Cattery, for photos of my stud Pl***oy who will be the father of the two future planned breedings. Additional photos of the female ASH and my other male ASH kitten are pending as well as any other pertinent information. If you have any other questions feel free to contact me at this address. Best Regards-
Julie Johnson
