Hi all, I am thrilled and honored to have been nominated for San Diego Magazine's 2024 Celebrating Women Awards, as Non-Profit Pioneer! I was notified Friday night that someone made a nomination and, that I made it through to the public voting round! After texting everyone I could think of, I discovered that one of my dear friends (and volunteers) nominated me and this has brought so much joy!

I am competing with 33 other amazing women for this category, and I would greatly appreciate your vote! This win would be a fantastic gift and add some sparkle back to my year.

The public voting window is short, (starting tomorrow) August 19th to August 25th at 11:59 pm PST. You can vote ONLY once per category (so you can't vote for two of us for Non-Profit Pioneer). The woman with the most votes in each category will win the People's Choice Award, and all results including the overall Woman of the Year, will be finalized and announced at the Celebrating Women Summit on November 6th.

The nomination write up has brought tears to my eyes multiple times and I am so honored and excited, and I love all of you so much. My Mama would be so proud. Thank you Ashli and everyone else who helped, for this fabulous opportunity!

Oh my gosh, I'm so excited! I've been trying to get Traci's Paws, Inc. on as a Chewy partner for years since we are a registered 501c3 and are still paying tax with each pet food donation order we've placed since the pandemic! That is a LOT of money that could be used to help other families.

After speaking with multiple customer service reps and "managers," they finally approved us as of today! This truly is a huge win, and they appreciate that we've been ordering our Pet Food Fund donations exclusively from them and want us to continue doing so.

With this new partnership, we have more flexibility. We can now request pet food for specific pet food drives, which will be delivered to the drive location, or opt for Chewy Gift Cards. These gift cards allow us to order pet food for the individuals who request it for our Pet Food Fund.

I am so thankful for everyone's support and happy that we finally have this new platform to help us help more people and their pets!

In the last two weeks, Traci's Paws, Inc. has received 410 inquiries from individuals seeking to rehome their pets.

Let this sink in. There are 336 hours in 14 days.
THERE ARE LESS HOURS IN TWO WEEKS THAN INQUIRIES WE RECEIVED!

And this is just us! We cannot imagine fewer inquiries to rescue organizations and shelters nationwide. Four were requests to rehome cats, and the remaining 406 were dogs.
We know that there are many reasons why people may need to find a new home for their pets, but there are also many things that families can do to help keep their pets in their homes.

Please visit our webpage for rehoming pets, which has VERY valuable information and resources such as pet training, grants for life-saving medical care, etc.

Your pets are family.
Please love them enough to keep them part of it.

Today we remember the girl who started this FB page, little Emee the Chi. Today would have been her Sweet 16, and it is her first birthday on the other side of the rainbow. We all miss her terribly, and thank you for loving her. She was so special and for being so tiny in her 3 pound body, she was a mighty one!

Today I lost my mommy.
She was supposed to have a heart procedure Monday but she just couldn't wait, her body was too weak. I wasn't allowed into the hospital so my friend Jay came over and stayed with me while my sissy & Scotty took care of her and helped her cross to the rainbow bridge.
I love her so much and will miss her very, very much.
I hope she found Emee.
