This is the reason why hatchlings should be checked often. They tend to flip over on their back and can die of suffocation if stayed like that for long.
Sometimes they manage to get back on their legs but sometimes they need some help; like this little one. Had checked them two hours back and when I checked them again, found this one on back and it had pooped. So, it was flipped over for little longer guess but fortunately could get back normal in time.

First hatchling has fully absorbed yolk sac and just need to get the plastron fused. Other four hatchlings are also on different stagges of yolk sac absorption. Swipe to see.
