Yep we are at it again today!!! Hand cut by yours truly and our team. Then freeze dried to retain 94-96% percent of the nutritional value!! Freeze drying lowers the temp to waaayyyyyyy below 0 degrees and essentially removes all the moisture through through the extremely low temps. Remember heat kills nutrition in the dehydration and drying process, and the heat process loses as much as 40-50% of the nutrition!!! Our treats can also be reconstituted in water to add that moisture back in returning it to its raw state 😳😳😳After all, it’s about making our dogs healthy, vibrant and helping them live the longest life possible with real food! We work with every customer to make sure they are adding some extra goodies that we believe are important to any bowl, whether it be fresh, gently cooked, freeze dried, dehydrated or kibble. That includes fats, omega 3’s, vitamin E etc.
But when I stumble across any quality mushrooms, I sn**ch it up immediately!!! This was a great find for us !!! I have attached a fantastic article from Angela Ardolino of CBD Dog Health, on Lions 🦁 Mane mushrooms!
Not only did we add it to the dog’s bowl, but gave some to the chickens, goats and sheep!!! Oh yea, we had a little after the animals were fed 😂😂😂

We have some DIY customers use our treats for their organ requirements as our products 100% grass fed/pasture raised cows and are single proteins. Some pups and kitties don’t care for raw organ meat, but I assure this will fix the problem. Freeze dried retains about 94% of it’s nutrient value vs dehydrating or other forms of drying. FD uses extremely low temperatures to dry the product vs other methods that use heat to dry the meats and organs !!

Lets talk nutritional values of fermenting seeds !! Are you worried your dog is not getting the core nutrients that they need? Easy peasy 24 hour ferment with raw seeds! I generally make into a paste and give it to the dogs daily! Seeds last a week in the refrigerator and the health benefits will rock their world!
Raw seeds (we used pumpkin and sunflower).
2-3 Tbs of whey (apple cider vinegar will work as well)
Filtered water

Soak 24 hours, rinse well !! We use the whey and water liquid to water the plants!
You can dry the seeds and make a powder or you can add some water or coconut oil and blend into a paste!! BOOM👏👏👏👏

Lets talk coconut oil and MCT Oil and why its a no-brainer supplement!!

Self selection board for the WIN ! No, I don’t do this everyday as like most people, I simply don’t have time. But every once in awhile I will make a pretty bowl. You simply place food on a tray for your dogs and let them select what he eat. My dogs eat all of it, but on their terms. If your dog is a “picky” eater or not food driven, or pulls their food out of the bowl and puts it on the ground before eating it, give this a whirl. It is often the overpowering smell of food. Remember, scent is their primary sense. When we pull food out of a bowl, it allows the food to aerate and not be so overwhelming to their smeller ! Have fun with your boards! Bon appetit !! What can we do with our scraps? We hand prepare our freeze dried treats here at Vibrant K9 for ur customers, but we never miss an opportunity to prepare something special for the dogs when possible!!
After preparing the chickens breakfast, I had a bunch of scraps left over and I take this time to make a small treat for the dogs! I used the eggshells (rich in calcium) and stuffed them with raw meat, avocado, grass fed butter (both amazing fats), organic tomatoes, scrambled eggs and fresh parsley! The nutritional benefits are stellar. But lets talk about a “eating experience”. This came from my soul sista Emma Rutherford from the ! Do I do this everyday! NO, but I like to get creative as there is something very bonding when we put time, creativity, thought and love into making a highly fresh and nutritious snack for our dogs. It puts us into a mindset of feeding fresh and doing something amazing for our pups! Spleen what?

Eggs.... its whats for breakfast!! We are super duper proponents of fats for dogs. Did you know that fats dont make dogs fat.... Sugar and Carbohydrates make dogs fat. Its Lung and Liver day!! Getting ready to cut treats and put in freeze dryer. I can’t get over how gorgeous our product is and the nutritional value it adds to your dogs AND CAT’S bowl, whether it be a treat, kibble diet, raw diet or gently cooked.
We have spent this past year formulating, lab testing, taste testing and the response to the treats have been overwhelming! GREAT things have been in the works, and our nose to tail line has been a labor of love for this past year. We are getting ready to change the nutritional world as we know it.

Do we feed like this everyday? Oh heck NO🤣🤣 but what we do everyday is feed a raw, unadulterated, fresh raw meal of Vibrant K9 blends to our BELOVEDS! We believe in keeping it easy and simple. Adding in extras a few times a week is optimal. We start our dogs from puppies the minute they come home. Baby Bob started day one at 9 weeks old. It imperative we start those pups on raw immediately to grow a healthy gut biome!!

We work with every customer to create a healthy path for your dog. Each dog is different, so each bowl may be slightly different.

Ok, we are kicking Bob’s recovery up a notch, and in true Vibrant K9 style, we are taking you with us. We have survived the first 2 weeks of post surgery, but now the fun begins. For those of you that don’t know, this surgery is extremely painful and hard on large and giant breed dogs. Some people think it’s normal for dogs to be up and walking on the 2nd day, and that just isn’t the case in the big kids. We are going to show you how we work through a trauma incident (in this case a knee surgery) for a 200 lb dog, but also, how we will build him back from the inside out, heal him from the inside out and how we recover from the inside out. This isn’t just about a surgery, but how we approach a steep hill with any dog, and hopefully get them back to a much stellar place prior to the trauma, surgery, medical issue and so forth. We are going to show you how we build back through diet, exercise, major gut health restoration and overall stress reduction.
We are excited to bring you along and hopefully you can benefit from our triumphs and mistakes!!!
Bob has been back on VK9 raw since 2 days after surgery, so our first step to recovery truly starts his diet!!
