Photo dump from the Dressage at Fox Canyon show this past weekend😋 Kate Sulzbach impressed with a 71% at 2-1 with Sara Cutter’s Jouti🥇Chloe Giannetto and Juliet Bradley snagged the last scores they needed for CDS Jr Championships, big summer plans for these two!! And finally, in her last show before moving to college, Emma Marlow put in an impressive performance moving up to First Level. Not bad for a dressage newcomer💪✨

Another great SBCCDS annual banquet! Congrats to the In the Irons crew on their year end awards🎉🏆 Kate had quite the sweep collecting 3rd level open champion with Wendy Brown’s Fogoso WC, 4th level open champion with Chloe Giannetto’s Duvall, and 4th level open reserve champion with Limited Edition 92! We are so proud of our Juniors, Juliet Bradley for Training level Jr champion and Chloe Giannetto for 3rd level Jr. champion!

In dressage, the best riders develop psychological strength as a key ability because it takes a positive attitude, strong will, good work ethic, humbleness, stubbornness and overall horsemanship to succeed. You have to accept that success and failure never last in this sport, so you have to take each in stride and not make too much of a deal out of either—it is just another day at work. In the end, the best riders have this strength and an undying drive to continue because a rider still has to take care of the horses and get back in the saddle tomorrow and the day after that since this is not only a sport, hobby or business, but a lifestyle that lasts a lifetime. - Jan Brink

While Chloe might not have gotten to show her pony yesterday, her hard work and selfless caring for a colicking mount earned her the “Sportsmanship Award” in the form of a ride on CDI star Uiver. We all better watch out when she and Izzy pony are back in fighting form!

We are so incredibly grateful to everyone who helped us evacuate our horses from the Holiday Fire and care for them since. This community has been through a lot over the past year, but it’s spirit never flags. Thank you, thank you! I am so grateful for Kate Sulzbach's training on Splenda! It was a great afternoon as Kate rode both Splenda and Mathilda with Conrad Schumacher to the sounds of many "yah Vol's". Thank you Kelli Temple and Philip Kolossa for helping us find these amazing horses!

Kate and Matilda had a great time at dressage boot camp with Terri Rocovich at Rocovich Equestrian! Watching Terri ride with Conrad Schumacher was a master class, the girls are psyched to ride with him next week.
