Our Story
Blu Collar Farm was founded February 2017. The day our dream became a reality. It all started July of 2015 when I found this HANDSOME BAY named Blu. He brought me back to my childhood days when horses were an everyday part of my life. I grew up in Wellington, FL where I spent most of my teenage years riding, training and showing, my then OTTB, Dederick. The horse who taught me to ride. Well, he actually taught me a lot more than that. He taught me Patience, Understanding, Responsibility, Friendship, Trust, but above all, Unconditional LOVE.
The feeling you get when a 1200lb animal puts ALL their trust in you is like no feeling you have ever felt before. Unless you have interacted with or owned an Equine you just wouldn’t understand. The amount of trust these animals have in us is amazing. They trust us to care for them and keep them safe. We lead...they follow. Over fences, into trailers, through water, up hills, down hills, from show to show, arena to arena, barn to barn, We lead...they follow!
If you can’t tell by now I am a huge animal lover. Big, small and everything in between! My animals are my family. It’s not everyday you get to live your Dream and I am so very Thankful for everyday that I get to live mine!
