Hope everyone and every fur baby is safe!
We started this mission originally to find our boston terrier a furever friend, but the experience changed our lives!
Adoption / Re-Homing Fee of $150.00
This fee helps us cover food, toys, vet visits, up to date shots, and preventative care.
Hope everyone and every fur baby is safe!
๐บ๐ธ HAPPY 4th of JULY ๐บ๐ธ
Hope everyone has been enjoying a great week! Remember this weekend is the #1 time for lost pets because of the July 4th festivities. Please be sure to pay close attention to your animals during parties and fireworks. Also a good time to think about micro chip identification or updating that older collar tag. โ๏ธ
Can anyone help Baily and her family!! Please send all inquiries directly to Boston Terrier Rescue of Florida, Inc.!
UPDATE: Home found. Thank you all.
URGENT!! Who can open their home up for Bailey, either temporarily or long term? This cutie is 6 years old and weighs 22 pounds. Her current mom has had her for 3 years and for the first time the other day, she started a fight with another dog in their Community while both were on a leash. Their Community has given the owner until 6/14/17 to find a new home for Bailey.
Unfortunately, Bailey has previously lost an eye but it does not require any care. However, according to the ownerโs vet, Baileyโs other eye is being treated with eye drops for pressure and hypertension. It is unknown if treatment can prevent loss of sight in this eye. Her owner reports that her eyesight is good now.
According to her owner, Bailey is very active, playful, affectionate, friendly, independent, protective, and house-trained. She likes to chase after balls, play with rope toys and to run around.
Bailey has not lived with children or cats, so we donโt know how she would do in a home with them. Because of the incident with the other dog in their community, she would do better in a home without other dogs.
If you think you can help Bailey find a place to land, please let us know. She needs to be moved by Wednesday. Unfortunately, we cannot accept her into the Rescue unless we have a spot for her.
Furever = Forever!
Good evening all. In light of recent concerns I would like to just be very transparent with everyone and stop the rude unnecessary comments that has come pouring in. We started this "rescue" in 2011 bringing dogs into our home, getting them up to date on vet checks and placing them in a suitable home. We placed well over 30 dogs into very loving families. We are not trying to operate a business and most of the costs incurred came out of our own pockets. We had to stop bringing dogs into our home in 2014 when our daughter was born but have left the page up and shared for others trying to find homes for their babies. So, to come out and start shaming us for doing what we do is selfish and not true. Also, want to know WHY we started the rescue in 2011? CERTAIN rescues weren't answering emails or phone calls when I found a dog that needed rescuing immediately from a kill shelter. I am not going to stop doing this because I think the more we try and help people place dogs into suitable homes regardless of being "official" or not doesn't matter. So please leave your attitudes elsewhere and remember why it is that we are doing what we do.
We have a need for a furever home ASAP!!
He is a 3 year full boston terrier. Very spunky but very timid at the same time. He is good with other dogs, and kids. He has not been neutered yet. He is well taken care of no health issues but could use a check up. His current owners are heartbroken but are unable to take care of him the right way and will be moving to a smaller place because of money issues. He is crate trained but may need some additional house training (partially due to the fact he is still intact and not neutered). He loves to lay on you and cuddle but very loud snorer. He loves car rides too. They have one week to find a home for him. Please use the link below to fill out an application if you are interested. This adoption will be done however through the current owners

*UPDATE ON TOFFEE*
The Pug Rescue of Florida has taken him in as of yesterday. I am not 100% sure if they have a foster/home set up yet, but if you are interested still they will have all the updates ๐
Thank you all for your interest, stay tuned for more in the future.
Sarasota friends... Trying to help find this beautiful Seal a new home. She's ten ish?, but her family can't care for her anymore. They've tried their best to find her a new place, but haven't had any luck. Anyone interested in giving Toffee a couple last good years??!
Good with kids (even littles!) and other dogs. Needs some updates to vet records. Always happy to sit outside and chill.
This is being cross posted for a local friend. So, if interested (seriously) message us with your contact info and I will pass it along!
If anyone can repost in Central Florida please do!
Merry Christmas!
Happy Veterans Day to all the Fur-Officers!
Meet Blue!
Age: 7 years young
He is playful, sweet, protective, sensitive, people-centric, plays well with some dogs, but is uneasy around small children.
He likes playing catch with Frisbees and tennis balls, running around outside, walks, chasing lizards, snuggling under blankets and with his owners.
He is not so sure about small children, some dogs (it really just depends on the dog), and swimming
He received shots in late June so he is up to date until June of 2017.
"My ideal family would have me as their only furbaby, and no small children. As a Boston Terrier, I would prefer a home with a fenced in backyard that I can safely run around and chase lizards on without accidentally getting lost. I am very sad to be leaving my family, but I look forward to becoming a part of yours."
Please message us for more details on Blue, and how to fill out an application with us. No rehoming fee, just need a loving family to bring him in and love him!
