The bone appears more brittle and porous than what I usually see, along with the internal ear on one side being underdeveloped. This friend very well could've been deaf in one ear!

I've often heard electrical tape and plastic wrap is the way to go for keeping antlers safe in the degreasing and whitening process, but im going a different route.
Today I'm wrapping a skull in papertowel and submerging it 3/4ths of the way in dawn. The dawn water mixture will saturate the paper towel and help degrease the top of the skull without causing any discoloration to the antlers.

I end up with a lot of extra remains that I just don't have time to repurpose. This is when I sell to other creators!
Spare bones are sold stink free, but are often cleaned naturally by nature and the elements, making them appear darker and maybe even a little mossy! Tons of people love this look, but if it's not for you, baths in hydrogen peroxide and dawn dish soap can safely and efficiently whiten bone.

Thank you to all of my friends and family that have helped me make a decision on a name for my business. This is something I've been working towards for about 5-6 years now, perfecting the art of cleaning and preserving bone, fur, and other remains of creatures that have passed from various different causes. I have a long way to go, but I'm ready to start showing my work more frequently.
I will put a warning out there right away that this is is often a very gruesome hobby that can make most people very uncomfortable. With that, please view this page with both curiosity and caution.
