Hey everyone Tammy here. This is gonna be a long one. I've taken some time to let this sink in before I posted here. Can I say what an awesome day! I want to personally Thank everyone for your support for Cooper and our rescue. Without each and everyone of you this would not have happened. Cooper came in with a litter of pups and we had no idea of his issues. When he was finally diagnosed with 2 heart conditions I had no idea where we could come up with the funding to give him what he needed. So I did what I always do and prayed. We take on alot of medical cases but nothing this huge. Next morning there was an email from Courtney with TCC, Verizon Authorized Retailer So I thought ok maybe this is a sign. Filled out the grant app and prayed again. We were chosen as 1 of 6 finalist. I knew we were up against some stiff competition with the other groups, mostly much larger then us. But that didn't stop our supporters. You guys rocked with the voting where we finished in 3rd place. Knowing last year this grant was awarded to 3 groups I was hopeful. Went into today feeling quite nervous. I must say that the voting for not only us but the other 5 finalist as well is heartwarming. Congrats to all of them as well. So Thanks to each and everyone of you. Thank you Beth Scott for introducing me to Allia one of our Verizon sponsors. Thank you Allia and Qua for helping us, 2nd year partnering. Thank you Zach and Tony from Verizon for your support. Thank you Penny and Shelly for sharing fostering Cooper duties. Thank you Tammy and Carson for the stories in the newspaper. Andrea for all your help with our posts, I know you were as stressed as us. Thanks to my Hubby and Amy for dealing with me and all my stress levels the past month. Thank you Tcc Verizon for supporting all the work we do as well as the other 5 groups. And yes I cried, then cried the whole way home and cried while I wrote this. And now my heart is full. This is Cooper, formerly Boris. Cooper needs a lifesaving heart procedure, so that he can live like a puppy should. Yes, it's very costly, but it can save his life. We are hoping to schedule him for surgery by late May, at CVCA specialty center in Hunt Valley MD. We have raised some of the funds and Applied for a grant to help with his needs. The cost of this procedure is roughly $6000. We have never attempted to raise this much in our existence. Even if you can only give a little bit, it helps. Thanks to everyone who has already helped by donating and sharing. We appreciate you. πͺππ. PayPal accepts all major credit cards.

Back in December, sweet shy little Cairo was adopted, but she was returned in less than a week. Cats are misunderstood creatures. When one adopts an animal, we have to put ourselves in their shoes, or paws πΎπΎ. They walk into a totally foreign world, new people, new smells, new sounds...new everything altogether. Nine times out of ten, if you are just willing to give them space and time, let them know you are safe and available, they are going to come around. Here's hoping that Cairo will flourish in her new home, with her new kitty friends π
Alanis was a little squirmy today when she left for her forever home, but she will be so happy being the center of attention. She requires all the love, all the time πΎπ©·π. Happy Tails Alanis π©·
Closing out 2023 on a adorable note with Drago π€πΎπ. Look at this dude's little round face and cubby ears ππ¨. Drago spent the first 5 months of his life outside, but he's warming up to the indoor life. Matter of fact, he's even helpful around the house. He single handedly took down the Christmas π Tree for his foster mom π. If you would like to start off 2024 with a good luck black kitty, applications are available at Delawarerescue.com π€β¨οΈππΎ
