Here is a clip from this past Saturday in downtown Seville, taking Santa and Mrs. Claus to the Historical Society to visit with the children of all ages. Shire geldings, Indy and Duncan were great as usual.
🎅🤶
Our fall season events have come to a close, and we are now looking towards the Christmas season outings we have planned in November and December. In the meantime, enjoy this clip of the Shire geldings, Indy and Duncan, trotting down the road at Hale Farm & Village during the Harvest Festival. A fun view from the drivers seat.
Things are in full swing here. We are available until 5pm today for barn tours and horse-drawn wagon rides. Stop out and see us.
This past Sunday, we spent the afternoon in North Canton at the Hoover Historical Center, providing wagon rides during their Christmas event. Below is a video from the driver's perspective. As an added bonus, enjoy the caroling in the background. The crowd was really having a great time.
Here is a short clip from this past Saturday in downtown Seville. We brought Santa and Mrs. Claus into town for an evening of fun at the Seville Historical Society.
Here is a short video from last night in Westfield Center giving stagecoach rides. I sure do love that sound of the bells.
Just havin' fun...
About a week ago, Todd decided he wanted to hook up a group of horses to his 2-bottom plow. We got things set up, horses harnessed and hooked, and off they went. While it obviously didn't go perfect, the horses worked hard and did their best, especially for the first time hooked like this. The two important things that did happen, everyone was safe, and we had a lot of fun. Have a great Monday everyone!
Here's a short clip from this past Sunday while at Hale Farm and Village for the Harvest Festival. This is a pair of our Shire siblings by our stallion, Nigel. Indy and Gidget did a great job giving rides throughout the day. We are especially proud of Gidget, as this was her first time here. We will be back at HFV next weekend for another 2 days of rides during Harvest Fest. Sat. 11-4:30 and Sun. 12-4:30
Here is another short clip of Todd plowing this past weekend at Hale Farm & Village. Indy and Bell were working super smooth together throughout the day. It made for quick work on this small plot.
Here is a short clip of Todd plowing with a pair of our Shires, Indy and Bell, this past Saturday at Hale Farm & Village, during the Sow & Grow Festival. The soil conditions were great, and the weather was beautiful.
We had an absolutely beautiful weekend. This past Saturday we spent the day in Ashtabula, Ohio with a great group of people and horses. A big THANKS to Joel and Jessica Baldwin for inviting us. It is always a joy when we can spend time with our horses. Horses being used: Indy in the furrow, Sadie in the middle, and Bell on the outside. We look forward to returning next year.
Hurry up and wait...
Here is a short video I caught yesterday while Todd was out working with the horses, while waiting for our breed demo time. Horses are Duncan (bay gelding), Annie (grey mare), and Ian (Annie's black colt). Riding with Todd is Maureen Wightman (Duncan's owner/mom). I will be posting more from Equine Affaire throughout the week.
It is what you make of it.
To say it was wet this past weekend while we were at Hale Farm & Village for the Maple Sugar Festival would be an understatement. However, we had a great time anyway. It is always a joy when we get to spend time working with our horses, as well as sharing them with those around us. Here you can see our Shire geldings, Indy and Duncan coming back around from a trip through the sugar bush.
❄Winter Wonderland❄
Saturday evening was cold and breezy. The wet snow came down a bit heavier than planned. We still got Santa and Mrs. Claus to the Seville Historical Society in time to see all the kids that awaited his arrival. We gave a lot a carriage rides in the short time we were there. Everyone seemed to have a great time. 🎅 🤶
Check out this short clip of Todd driving Shire geldings, Indy and Duncan, this past weekend at Hale Farm and Village. It looks like everyone was having a great time.
We are officially up and going here this morning at Hale Farm & Village, for the Sow & Grow Pollinator Festival. Shire geldings, Indy and Duncan, are digging in and turning some ground. We will be here until 5pm today.
Having fun!
Below is a short video I caught a few weeks ago while at a plow day. This was the first time they held this event. It was definitely a lot of fun, and we look forward to joining them again next year. The weather this past weekend kept us from going to another local plow day, so for now, we'll all just enjoy this short clip of Todd plowing with the Shires. In the furrow is Indy, then Faith, and Duncan on the outside. This was Duncan's 2nd time ever on the plow. He was great.
We are on our way back up to Hale Farm and Village for the second day of the Maple Sugar Days. We will again have a team of Shires, Indy & Faith, in the sugarbush, as well as our mare and foal, Bell & Dream, out grazing (playing/sleeping) in the pasture. If you are thinking of stopping up, be sure you call ahead for a reservation. We hope you'll take time to visit. Below is a short video we caught yesterday of Dream really living it up and having a good time playing. Such a spunky baby! 😁🐎🥰
