Due to staffing issues, our vet clinic has had to cancel TWELVE of our appointments to spay and neuter our kittens. We have reached out to several other clinics who are all booked out. Because of this we will need to have the procedures done through another private vets office where the cost is tripled. A once $85 procedure it will now be close to $300. To get all of our babies fixed will cost us around $3,000. These procedures need to be done ASAP to prevent unwanted pregnancies within the shelter. Happy Tails!! Tinsel, Jingle AND June went home tonight! Our adult cats are always with us longer and June is one of our longest residents. Theyre going home to amazing loving owners! We will miss you but are so happy for you!

A little Misty update

Misty had gone into the vet for a removal of several decaying teeth (such is senior cat life). When the vet began they noted a tumor in her throat that was suspected to be cancerous. Given her diagnosis we were looking for a hospice adopter for her to live out her days in the comfort of a home and not in a kennel at our facility. Luckily we were able to quickly find her a home with a very loving family. Per her new mommas reports she is comfortable and happy, demands pets by patting her on the hand, and sleeps with her every night. We are so very grateful that Misty got an ending she deserves ❤️

This is Koda. Koda is recovering after being mauled by what they assume was a coyote. He received life saving surgery with bills of up to $9000. Thank you to everyone who donated to The Great Give for allowing us to purchase this great shed to store some of our bulky equipment and allow us to have more space inside our facility for the animals. One of our long term residents Copper. This pretty girl would do great in a quiet home where she could spend her days birdwatching and being a couch potato. Once she is comfortable with you she loves chin scratches and will roll over and let you pet her belly. She does well with other cats as well. Give the shy ones a chance!
