Hi everyone! Nutmeg here. Sorry my humans have been crazy busy with all the patients they see and taking care of me and my kitty friends here at the clinic, so it’s been a bit since an update, but I promise I am being well cared for and spoiled rotten…I am told. I have gotten outside for several walks and am getting quite demanding when I am not getting ALL the attention. Yesterday I received what doc told me was shockwave treatment on my back. It felt a little weird at first but I think I really liked it. After that they did my normal therapies and stood me up and made me hold my feet in the right position. Then they bounce me up and down a little and I try to move forward but they hold me in place. Doc was able to release her hold on me and I was able to bear some weight for just a little bit before I sagged back down. They seemed to get awfully excited. I wagged my tail on a walk and man you should have heard them screech…especially Dr. Martino. I will keep fighting the good fight as long as the love and food and treats keep coming. Til next time folks…I think it’s lunch time!

There were some we could not reach or even leave a message. Dr. Martino has some openings even this week and would be happy to take you on as a client. As always I am available to consult with her on any case.

Hi everyone! It’s been a few days since I checked in with everyone. Life here is pretty good. I get a little bored sometimes when my humans are all running around like mad people, but it seems to always mean I get extra treats and toys so I guess that’s ok. Doc tells me I have abs of steel because I can pull myself up to almost a standing position. They get really excited when I move my back leg, but I don’t know what they expect me to do when Doc pinches my toes…how rude! But she looks so happy when I move so I can’t get mad at her. I have had a few visitors. This guy all dressed in brown, named Patrick, comes almost every day. I think he’s nice. Today a sweet lady named…I think they said her name was Carolyn, came to see me and brought delicious snacks and a good bone! My pain is so much better I don’t really even whimper anymore. I just want to move around. I heard something about maybe trying my wheels soon?? Sounds fun…I can’t wait. Well that’s all for today. Thanks for all the positive energy and healing thoughts….and keep them coming please. Love you all….

Just a heads up….we are working EXTREMELY SHORT STAFFED today. We have 2 people out sick. That leaves Savanah alone with 2 docs, until Kathy gets in this afternoon. I am asking for patience today. If you don’t have something urgent, it may be best to text or email this morning, or wait until this afternoon to call. If you need us, of course call. We will be getting g to everyone the best we can. Thank you in advance for your patience and understanding.

Good afternoon my friends. Nutmeg here coming to you today from my “picnic lunch” on the front porch. It’s a bit chilly but it was nice to enjoy the sun for a little bit. I am definitely getting more confident and comfortable here. I greeted the girls this morning with the loudest bark! I wasn’t angry….just HUNGRY!! They put me on this flat platform today and said what a good girl I was. Then said something about 43 pounds. I am hoping that’s how much they are feeding me today! Is that a lot?? A nice lady (Tori and her dog Sydney) bought me a tasty chewy snack yesterday that they gave me today. I wasn’t sure what to do with it at first but once I bit in to it…man was it delicious! Yesterday this really cool dude (I think they said his name was David) was here and pet me for a while and gave me snacks. Then he looked at this thing with wheels on it with my humans and said he would love to modify it as needed to fit me. Does that mean I can race around soon? So much I don’t understand but am learning new things everyday. They said I will learn how to be a spoiled dog. I hope that’s fun. Well that’s all for today. I will check in again soon. Thanks everyone for asking about me. I’m told I have quite a following…whatever that means…but I’m grateful for all the attention and help.

Good morning friends!
Nutmeg here for an update. I have decided that being immobile is uncool and I want to run and frolic with my kitty friends at the clinic. Rest assured the girls are giving me all the brain busters to keep my mind busy while I heal. I love my PEMF therapy and still believe that it makes for the bestest nap time! I can stand and walk a few steps when they hold up my back end. I’m getting stronger everyday. I just wish my legs would work, although I have been able to stretch my rear legs on occasion and my humans go crazy with excitement when I do it.
All in all it’s been a good week so far and as long as the snacks keep coming I’m a happy girl! ❤️

You get the standard American diseases when you eat the Standard American Diet. The same is true for our pets. Food can heal or harm, and diet-related diseases (chronic noninfectious conditions) are at an all-time high for people and pets. We can never be vibrantly healthy eating dead (ultra-processed) food devoid of naturally occurring enzymes, antioxidants, polyphenols, and flavonoids. And while 67% of calories U.S. teens consume come from highly refined foods, most pets consume ultra-processed diets exclusively 💔. Most pets go a lifetime without consistent access to fresh, unprocessed foods except for lawn grass (often sprayed with glyphosate or other herbicides💀). It’s time to wake up to fast food marketing ploys; the quality, freshness, and adulteration of our pet’s food supply play into health and disease powerfully. Why are we letting the ultra-processed Pet Food industry convince pet parents that feeding dry food for a lifetime is the healthiest way to nourish our animals? 🤯

Good morning friends! Nutmeg here….
Just wanted to pop on and let you know that I am starting to trust these people. I whine when they are not near me and often look to see if they may have delicious snacks in their hands. I allow them to help me up and down and actually look forward to a short “walk”. My darn back legs won’t work but they just hold me up and I can strut away on my front legs. There was some talk about maybe some wheels?? I think my pelvis may be feeling up for that soon. I can feel when I have to p*e and p**p and know I should not be doing it in the house so I whine to get them to help me. They keep telling me it’s ok. They are here to clean it up. I do pinch it off for them which they tell me is good. Weird people. I also “wink my vulva” when I p*e, and even move my tail a little. That seems to really excite these humans. They are a strange breed, but I think they may be ok….
Well I have to concentrate on getting my therapy now but I will check in on y’all later. Have a great weekend.

Nutmeg wanted to say hi to all of her followers. She had an uneventful night with the clinic cats. She has decided she does not want to stay immobile and is now a little harder to keep quiet. This is both good and bad. It means her pain is controlled but we don’t want her to hurt her back any worse so when we can’t watch her she needs to be kenneled. Don’t worry though. She is getting plenty of love and snacks. She has even had visitors already today…the UPS man (Patrick) and Savanah and Abbie came to visit as well.
