He earned a 2024 National Championship Invite by being in the top 10% across all regionals!
Sadly we will not be attending nationals but we are insanely proud of him nonetheless

Wow what a weekend!
On a whim, at an event I was photographing, I decided to try something new with the tiny Beast.
We signed up and competed in our first NASDA trial. Not only did we compete in it, Brax titled in all 3 things we entered; Shed Dog, Trailing & Locating, and Urban Locating.
She also walked away with 4 High in Trial and 3 Best of Breeds while competing against her brother.
This was her first "big girl" sanctioned event and I couldn't be more proud of her. Her behavior was great, she trialed well.
We did have one moment at the end where puppy brain and the tail end of a fear showed its face but even then she pulled through and did well.

Congratulations to Ambrosia!
She competed hard at the 2024 NADD South Central Regionals up against other fantastic Senior Lap dogs.
Ambrosia couldn't have done a better job and scored at the very top of her division with a 12' 11" jump, placing 1st and earning herself a National Invite.
We are so incredibly proud of her first full dock season. It was also her first time jumping at a mobile dock.

She had her very own special cheer squad, too! (like the queen likes)

We will be back at the Black Pearl this weekend to finish up the season and say one last hello to her dock diving friends before heading back home in October.

Oh boy were we close!! This was Riots first Regional event and he was SOOOOO close to placing. Literally by an inch. There were 69 dogs ranked in the Senior Division so to have him ranked #4 in his division is AMAZING. I'm so incredibly proud of his performance on the dock and off. His behavior was remarkable this weekend and even did exceptionally well at the hotel.
Not only was this his first regionals, but also his first time at a new location and on a mobile dock and it didn't phase him at all.
I can't rave enough about him!
He should also still earn an invite to Nationals by being in the top of his division! Which is amazing as well! Go team Riot

Ambrosia and Riot both qualified and are attending 2024 NADD South Central Regionals.
We are excited to go, see friends, make new ones.

At 8 months old, Braxy is having so much fun on the dock. Her confidence is building and so is her drive for a bumper!
Shes officially starting to jump off the big dock with a little extra encouragement and someone being in the water to help her to the ramp if she needs it.
We won't be getting competitive till next year, we are just trying to build up her confidence and making sure she's stable and having fun on the dock.
So proud of her.
Even her brother is getting more confidence on the ramp and jumping from there into the water. He's not quite ready to go off the dock but he's doing really well!

Presto is having a blast at dock this year! While she did not qualify for regionals, her jumps are getting better and she earned her Dock Junior title earlier this season!
She also has a new personal best of 15'3"! Big jump for my little girl. Soooo proud of her performances she's had this year, she may be 7 but she's going above and beyond this year.

Our Honorary member, Ambrosia, has had a GREAT first full dock season.
She ended last year with 5 jumps, being brand new to the game and a personal best of 9 feet.
This year, she has a new personal bestof 13' 6", a Dock Senior Title, 3 legs towards her Master title, AND a Regional Invite after placing 1st at our qualifier at the Black Pearl.

Shes having a blast here in Oklahoma and her mom, Kristine Maser is excited for her to go to Regionals with us.

This season has been amazing for Riot. He has a new team. I'm holding him and mom has been throwing. He loves the team and has been fantastic this year!
He placed 2nd in Senior Division at the regional qualifier a couple of weeks ago, landing him an invite to the South Central Regionals!!
Today, Riot got a new personal best of 20'9"!! Big jumps!
So proud of this boy and can't wait to take him to Regionals.

Abraxan went to her first "big girl" dog show this last week. We showed for 5 days and she did so well. I'm so proud of how she did, her recovery each day after getting spooked a few times, everything. We took 4th all 5 days and most of all, she had fun and had positive experiences every day. AND I got to bring home the Best puppy

Our special guest for the summer!
Rust Belt American As Apple Pie, a.k.a. Ambrosia earned her DCAT title today at MCKC's fastcat trial!
Ambrosia is the Dam of our puppy, Abraxan, and is visiting for the summer to do some sports. She did great this weekend.

Firenze ran remarkable times this weekend at the Time To Fly event in Hull, GA!
It was a good track with Great people running it.
Thank you to our LO, Hannah Schaede for keeping the bags close and running him like he likes it! He drove through each run and pushed hard at the end. Love seeing him run like that.
We all laughed (lure op and photographer included) when Firenze said he wasn't done, picked up the stopped bags, and ran them under the fence so noone could catch him. He earned his FCAT4 today an a 7.114 run at 28.75 mph.
These runs should put him back at #1 for 2024!
Yesterday, he earned his CAX as well with a beautiful run on the Coursing Ability field.
After running hard for 2 days, we visited the Chiro that was on site, Dr. Patricia Seebach, and he just melted into her arms as she worked away his troubles.

Another post coming tomorrow but tonight I want to brag on the youngest team member. Abraxan is on her first big road trip! We are staying in SC at a friend's house and competing down in Hull, GA.
She has been an absolute angel the entire trip. No crying in the car, no fussing out of the blue, she's been great!
Decided to do a bunny hop (puppy bump) with her since this place is different than the venues at home.
I can't wait till she's old enough to actually run. She's so much fun.

I don't even know where to start with the tiny Beast!

So here's a two event recap:
Fayetteville- her very first show! I was nervous because she had just started a fear period and I had to send her with a friend or she'd miss the first day. But she proved to me what a little bit of magic can do. On Thursday, being handled by a stranger ( Suzanne Miller ), she took Best of Opposite!
Friday, I got to show her for the first time and we took Best of Opposite again.
And on Saturday, she surprised me with Best of Breed AND a Group 2

Tulsa - this weekend I was busy on the track photographing but I handed her over to another stranger (her Auntie Taila Bateman ) who said she was fantastic but of course a puppy. Both Saturday and Sunday, Braxy brought home Best of Breed and on Sunday she got Group 4

Not bad at all for her first Beginner Puppy Shows. I'm so so Proud of this little baby.
Of course she may be pretty in the ring, but not by choice. At the end of the show weekend, I took her out to the FastCAT field for puppy bumps in the sand! She's going to be a princess in the ring but a beast on the field.

Presto earned her FCAT5 this weekend in Tulsa at the Mid-Cont Dog show cluster! We had a great time and enjoyed running in sand for the first time. She had a blast like always! Super proud of Change-O!

Raven earned her FCAT3 at the end of March in Claremore, Oklahoma!
In 10 more days. Shes going to be 11 years old. But she's still running fastcats like noones business. We also ran this weekend for the first time in sand! Considering that, she ran safe and had fun. I do notice her being a little sore today but she did fantastic!!

Braxy has been in Arkansas for the week while I had work. I didn't want her to miss her first show so she's been hanging out with friends.
I'm so proud that this little nugget took home her first Best of Opposite S*x to BoB Puppy! This should give her her first PoA point as well!!

I made it to Fayetteville just in time to run FastCATs. Tomorrow, I will be able to take her into the ring myself.

Abraxan has been home for 8 weeks now! Half her life at this point.
I can't help but to admire the dog that she's already turning in to.
She's doing great in conformation class, in fact, she makes everyone smile and laugh. She's such a good girl in puppy class, and she's chasing rollers on the disc field with people on the sidelines.
We still have so much to work on and learn but we have our foot in the door and getting started with everything.

She's currently 16 weeks old
12.88 lbs
13 3/4 inches tall
And she's lost her first 4 teeth with 2 new adult teeth JUST starting to peek through.

She is such a joy to work with and train. She reminds me so much of her dad and I'm honored to have her join our team and family.

With the sport dogs prepping for the sporting season, Abraxan is officially signed up for her first two BPUP conformation shows!
We are hitting a gangly phase and this is all for experience as we both step into the show world for the first time! I'm excited for a new opportunity

For 2023, Firenze finished #21 Open MAS in BarnHunt for breed

And #25 fastest for Novice
#10 fastest in Open in the state of Oklahoma

4 days of trial, 3 runs, and 1 heated competion later, Firenze is the Mini American Shepherd Runner-Up at FastCAT invitationals. It was a super close run off between him and Maverick.
Finals runs were:
Firenze - 7.32
And Maverick - 7.316, winning best of breed.

Both boys ran beautifully and it was insanely close. 0.004 seconds is what we lost by.

We have had so much fun here and we're glad to be here to support other team mates.
Congratulations everyone. Here's to next year!

We have been so busy, Firenze has made it to finals! We will keep everyone updated.

He ran a 7.34 yesterday and we are excited to see what today brings!

2023 Orlando Update
Firenze had a beautiful first run in Prelims this morning and earned his FCAT3 Title!
All 3 Minis representing our wonderful breed all titled and had great runs of their own!
We are having a blast and are enjoying meeting new people and dogs.

I will update more when more happens! Thanks for cheering us on! Keep cheering, we need all the support we can get.
We run again Thursday!
