๐ Happy Independence Day! ๐
Hey SPAR Community! Let's celebrate the 4th of July with some fun facts about our nation's history:
๐ Did you know? The Declaration of Independence was actually approved on July 2nd, 1776, but we celebrate on the 4th because that's when the final wording was adopted!
๐งจ Boom! Fireworks have been a part of Independence Day celebrations since the very first one in 1777. They were used to symbolize the โrockets' red glareโ and โbombs bursting in airโ from the national anthem.
๐ Star-Spangled Banner: Our flag has changed over the years. The first flag had 13 stars and 13 stripes for the original colonies. Today, it has 50 stars for each state and 13 stripes to honor the colonies.
๐ฑ๐ท Red, White, and Blue: The colors of our flag have special meanings. Red stands for valor and bravery, white for purity and innocence, and blue for vigilance, perseverance, and justice.
๐ Liberty Bell: The Liberty Bell in Philadelphia is an iconic symbol of American independence. It was rung on July 8, 1776, to mark the first public reading of the Declaration of Independence.
Enjoy your day with family, friends, and lots of fun! ๐๐๐ญ
