DID YOU KNOW?...
Your dog can be trained to recognize rattlesnakes using SIGHT, SCENT OR SOUND …and avoid THEM!
Rattlesnake season is here! Be proactive... protect your dogs BEFORE they encounter a rattlesnake.
Afterwards if you’re observant, your dogs’ body language may even alert you to the presence of a rattlesnake… hopefully saving you both from being bitten!
We are proud to be entrusted with rattlesnake avoidance training for many Police K-9's, Fire Depts. and Nationally and Internationally deployed Search and Rescue dogs.
NOT YOUR AVERAGE RATTLESNAKE AVOIDANCE TRAINING:
3 'traditional' courses in one to allow for training, reinforcement & proofing… and YOU go through our 12-station mock trail course WITH your dog. The course includes multiple discrimination tests to be sure your dog is making the correct associations throughout the training and tests to be sure your dog would act independently from you (i.e.: Stay away!) if you were (unknowingly) near or approaching a rattlesnake that they were aware of. This behavior may not only save their life but may also be your only sign that there is a rattlesnake nearby.
We default to mostly positive reinforcement whenever possibly (ie: LOTS of praise when they show avoidance naturally) but also offer alternative remote training collars (Vibrate, Spray or Static) depending on your dog’s temperament and previous training experiences.
