Pony Riding Lessons & Share Boarding

Rosenow Ranch Offers pony riding lessons and pony share boarding for lesson students. Lessons are $25 per lesson. English or western offered.
Private message for share board pricing.
Tack supplied for lessons and share boarding.
We have 3 Ponies available.
Share Boarding is a first come first serve basis, 2 share boarders per pony. (Must take lessons to share board)

MEET OUR PONIES!

Nickel
Nickel is an older pinto colored Shetland Pony. Hes 42” tall and loves kids. Nickel is great for early beginners. He’s very in your pocket and just the sweetest puff of fluff. He even does great for kids at shows and will take them to the winner circle. Nickel is a “baby sitter” type pony.

Dime
Dime is a young flashy palomino pony. He’s also 42” tall. Dime is a beginners pony but needs a confident rider, so we use him as our “step up” pony in lessons when kids graduate from nickel. He moves fast and knows his job. He’s great for kids to run barrels on, go trail riding or just walking down the road. His name is Dime because he stops on a dime and turns on a dime.

Molly
Miss Molly is the larger of the ponies at 46” tall. She’s a chocolate palomino. Molly has a low temperament and loves all her kids. She rides western and English. She does great with all levels of students.

1 free scheduled lesson a week

WW Yogi “Yogi”
Yogi is a beautiful 10 year old Norwegian fjord Gelding. Stands 14.2. He Drives, trail rides, rides great on the road, stands great for the farrier and baths. Lounges both ways by pointing and clicking. He even Loads like a gentleman in the trailer. Nothing seems to phase this big boy. He respects Hotwire fencing, Can be stalled or kept in a dry lot. (He should NOT be in a field of grass) He keeps easy in a stall. Yell for him and he’ll come running. He will excel in any direction, especially in a lesson program under direct supervision of beginners. (He can be pushy) He doesn’t mind gun shots, dogs, farm animals, fireworks, cars, loud machinery. Etc.
Yogi is slightly overweight and can be lazy. When I ride with a crop for encouragement, it seems to help a lot. He is sound and doesn’t need any maintenance. Yogi can be mouthy and has bitten his owner. Since he’s been on consignment he has not bitten anyone, and has shown great improvement on his mouthy behavior.
Yogi should have a confident rider or beginners under supervision. He has been known to be stubborn and pushy towards his owners children.
He is up to date on his shots and had his teeth done May 2023. He’s currently on a 6 week farrier schedule. He is currently barefoot but if rode on rough terrain he should have shoes.
He is available at Rosenow Ranch getting a tune up for his new owner! The more I play with him, the more videos and photos I will have.

**Only accepting 3 boarders & 1 Training spot open at this time.**
-Full board only. 10x10 Stalls. Matted.
-Private Paddock for daily turnout. (6am-8pm)weather permitting)
-Wooden Fence with Hotwire
-High Quality Tested Alfalfa or Orchard Grass hay mix supplied 3x Day.
-Stalls cleaned 1-2x a day.
-Bedding Supplied
-Grain supplied
-Owners on site 24/7(Owner is the ONLY one caring for horses)
-Barn & Pasture Camera access

This is a new boarding facility and will be have brand new stalls, mats, buckets, paddocks, etc.
We will be putting in an outdoor arena this spring/summer. We have a large round pen with new footing. We are working on heating the barn for next winter as well.
