Dear Valued Clients,

We would like to inform you about an unknown canine illness currently observed nationwide, showing symptoms similar to kennel cough. This includes coughing, sneezing, discharge from the nose or eyes, lethargy, and more. Alarmingly, some dogs may not exhibit any symptoms before developing pneumonia. This highly contagious virus is airborne, spreading easily among dogs through close contact, breathing, barking, sneezing, coughing, or sharing saliva.

At Spanish Springs Pet Resort, the health and safety of our canine guests have always been paramount. We adhere to a stringent sanitation protocol, utilizing a veterinary-grade cleaner named “Rescue” for daily comprehensive facility cleaning. This ensures thorough sanitization of kennels, bowls, beds, blankets, and even the grounds.

We need your cooperation to further safeguard our furry guests. Please be vigilant for symptoms such as eye or nasal discharge, coughing, sneezing, reverse sneezing, lethargy, loss of appetite, or any behavioral changes. Should you observe any of these signs in your pet, we advise keeping them at home and consulting your veterinarian.

To naturally boost your pet’s immune system, consider administering Vitamin C (18 milligrams per pound of body weight) before and after their stay with us. Additionally, incorporating foods like asparagus, broccoli, Brussel sprouts, kale, oranges, cauliflower, carrots, apples, and diluted apple cider vinegar into their diet can be beneficial.
