When you older 28 plus year old horse is no longer of use to you because he has lost speed, please don’t dump them at auction for a few hundred dollars.
Give them the peace they deserve.
Call the vet and let them go at home knowing they were loved.
Putting them through auctions is so stressful and usually their end is slaughter.
Please, give them their last breath knowing they were loved. To the end of their days.

I learned something yesterday. Riding in an area the horse isn't used to is not only different for me but also for the horse.
Try this yourself. Whether it is doing your yoga facing a different direction or doing your barrel pattern backwards.
You will find it hard to readjust. So as we go forward do things differently. Change it up. For you and your horse. Happy trails.

We get so used to the same ole same ole.
In this time of trial try something new.
We are creatures of habit.
In doing this, I decided to ride in the horses pasture. I reserve that area for them alone. Some of the horses were unsure and others were not fazed.
It made me realized I need to mix things up a bit. To keep things entertaining for both myself and my horse.
Todays ride will be ba****ck on a horse that I am not sure has ever been ridden ba****ck. Wish me luck. And stay safe.

First, sorry we have been quiet for so long. But here we are starting to get things going again. And yes that means a hunter pace is coming up in the near future. Course will be 3 to 5 miles. This day will have a twist. 3vevents. One day to strut you stuff. It is a Bad Betty Challenge. Round pen, hunter pace trail and a dressage test. Keep your eye on us as we will be posting teasers and hints soon.

We were able to assist in getting this super monster horse to her new forever home. I am not sure our trailer was big enough. ( please note the sarcasm) She was such a sweetheart.
