Focus work with the new kid! Nothing exciting, but already seeing progress 🤘🏼

First lesson for the sit command! Chance isn’t food motivated just yet so he wasn’t responding with a food lure. Instead, I am using leash guidance and light pressure on his rear end. Once he is going into the position easily I will add the verbal command. The moment his booty hits the ground I mark it “yes” and reward. Since he is remaining in the position I am using his release word “free” to get him moving again. Once I add the verbal command “sit” we will need to do anywhere from 300-500 repetitions to ensure he fully knows the command.

More play time with Beast! Even though we are just playing, there are always rules and some structure.

How well does your dog pay attention to you? Here is a great little exercise for you and your dogs to do! Only takes minutes a day, and is wildly beneficial! Take advantage of your quarantine and get to training 😆 *do this on leash so mistakes like mine don’t happen 🤣
