Dr. Emily McNally

Dr. McNally graduated from the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine in May 2012. She completed a year of an ambulatory internship with Rood and Riddle Equine Hospital in Lexington, KY in June 2013. Growing up, Dr. McNally had the opportunity to live overseas in Mexico, Guinea, Honduras, Brazil and Argentina due to her father’s job as a diplomat in the State Department. She retu

rned to the United States to attend college and graduated from Hollins University in Roanoke, VA in May 2008 with a major in biology and double minor in mathematics and chemistry. Dr. McNally enjoys all aspects of equine medicine, but is most interested in reproduction and sport horse medicine including lameness. When not working, she spends time at home with her husband Daniel, rat terrier Scoop and Sphynx cat Harry. She grew up riding competitively in jumpers, having the chance to ride in both the Brazilian and Argentinian national championships. Her horse, Overdose, was brought up to the US from South America when Dr. McNally went to college and is now semi-retired.
