What is Cryotherapy?
Cryotherapy is like an ice bath for your horse, using a machine that uses pressurized CO2 at -110°F on the horse’s body. This creates a thermal shock that immediately activates the sensory neuroreceptors under the skin. The horse’s central nervous system responds with a corrective reflex, which increases blood flow and brings a reduction in inflammation, swelling, pain, with further muscular relaxation. This is a non invasive form of therapy!
