Meet Andrea, our Sales Specialist! 👋🏻
Born and raised in El Salvador, Central America, Andrea had been working for Walmart for over 6 years managing different categories including Produce. “I was in Produce for about 3 years managing over 100 stores, I really enjoyed it.” She had no idea she’d find herself moving to the states after meeting her future husband at a conference in Mexico.
Over 3 years later, Andrea (who has always enjoyed cooking and baking) was shopping at her local Kroger and came across 80 Acres Farms ALL ABOUT THAT BASIL. She was hooked! Since then, it’s still the only basil she uses! She saw there was an open position in sales and decided to apply. “I really enjoy working for a company the produces a high- quality product that I’m proud of.”
Outside of the farm, Andrea and her husband have some land and she eventually has plans for a garden but in the meantime likes to bake. “I love sourdough bread, I made my starter the second day we moved here and it’s been going ever since.”
Of all the 80 Acres Farms products, “ALL ABOUT THAT BASIL will always be my favorite of the 80 Acres Farms produce but a close runner up is the ROCKIN’ RANCHERO salad kit. I normally split one with my husband but to be honest, I’m happy when I have one all to myself!”

Hi Kelsey! 👋🏻
Kelsey is the Line Lead at our tomato farm 🍅! She grew up in Ross, Ohio, surrounded by farms and agriculture. Even when she was young, she knew she wanted to help farmers. She earned her degree in agriculture from Ohio State University, specifically in Entomology (the study of insects).
After a stint at a research and development company and an internship at an aquaponics facility, Kelsey’s path to 80 Acres Farms was unique. Her father, who was involved in constructing our newest farm in Hamilton, Ohio, suggested that she check us out. And that’s how her journey with us began nearly four years ago!
What gets you out of bed every day? “I love working with plants. I’m always moving, which I like—I’m not stuck in one place for hours. Also, working at the smallest farm location allows us to have a close- knit team, which makes it fun.”
Outside of work, Kelsey stays busy remodeling her home and also enjoys the outdoors and hiking with her dog, Bailey. She’s eager for her upcoming family cruise to Haiti, the Dominican Republic, and the Bahamas in July!
It only makes sense that her favorite 80 Acres Farms product is the FIRWORK TOMATOES. 🍅 A close second would be FOREVER SUMMER. “It’s so versatile, and nothing else has that crunch like it FOREVER SUMMER does.”

As a company, we are committed to the Science Based Targets initiative , a framework that aligns us with the latest climate science and solidifies our responsibility to provide one of the many necessary sustainable agriculture solutions to fight climate change.

We have developed a sustainability strategy focused on four core principles:
🌱 PLANTS- how we grow
💪🏾 PEOPLE- community and engagement
⚡️ PLANS- farm infrastructure
🥗 PRODUCT- products and packaging

Each principle helps frame and drive our business—this helps us ensure that as we grow as a company, we continue to drive our —for good.

Say hello to our Senior Farm Manager, Josh! 👋🏻
A dedicated Eagle Scout growing up, Josh has always loved nature and the outdoors. “In college, I earned a Science degree, and on my first day of Biology 102, I fell in love with plant science.”
While working in a plant genetics lab, he quickly realized he was destroying plants rather than fostering them. So, at home, he began a small community garden that caught a lot of attention from the neighborhood and eventually landed him as Community Farms Manager at Turner Farms. Then, hydroponics piqued his interest as the way of the future.
When the R&D Farm Manager position at 80 Acres Farms popped up, he knew it was a perfect opportunity.
What gets you out of bed everyday?
“It always comes back to the team. From accounting to procurement to everybody on the farm floor—we have some of the most dedicated individuals I’ve ever had the pleasure of working with.”
Where can we find you outside of the farm?
“I’m an avid forager, which heightened my love for mushrooms, so I started an indoor mushroom farm. We also have a home garden where we produce food, and hopefully, soon, my daughter will take an interest.”
What is your favorite 80 Acres Farms product?
“I have to say our strawberries. Their amazing flavor resulted from all the team’s hard work, time, and energy.”
