This is a great class where folks learn to read their dogs! For the dogs, it’s biological fulfillment!

Our puppy class offers advice and invaluable life skills from a different perspective than most. We spend a lot of time rehabilitating dogs, or even just correcting unwanted behaviors. Our goal with this puppy class is to prevent undesirable behaviors by teaching you how to manage and live with your puppy in such a way that these behaviors will not occur. We will also teach you some cool new skills along the way!

** Puppies must be between 8 and 16 weeks at the start of class (July 18th) & must have all age-appropriate vaccines!

4th of July is in just a few days so here are some tips from RYD on how to help keep your dog safe and secure!🐾🇺🇸

Keeping your dog leashed inside and outside allows you to monitor your dog and prevent them from rehearsing flight behaviors most commonly associated with fireworks.🎆

Crating your dog, even if you are home, allows you to know exactly where your dog is during what can be a stressful time. If your dog is crate trained, the crate can provide a safe secure space for your dog!

Making sure you have updated your dog’s tags and microchip information is crucial! If your dog was to get away from you, you can be quickly reunited using this information. If the information connected to either is incorrect, it can really hinder the process!📞🏠 *You can create pet tags at most local pet stores!

Lastly, if your dog does get away from you, having a recent photo that is easily accessible to post online is beneficial! This will help potential finders identify your dog as a missing pet. We recommend a clear front facing photo and pictures of any specific markings your dog has!🐶

Remember, the goal is to prevent as many lost pets as possible, so we ask that you please mindful of your dogs this week. We hope you have a happy and safe 4th of July!❤️🤍💙

Even with the rain the pups love their pool time!🐾💦

During the summer we have shaded areas, large fans, fresh cool water & pools available all day. If the weather forecast is extreme, we bring them into the cool AC to keep everyone safe & happy!😎

Although if we let them, they’d vote to stay out in the pools all daycare day long!😆

Rediscover Your Dog is running a group class aimed at leash skills, obedience skills and life skills.

Start Date is June 22nd. We will hold class every Saturday afternoon at 2:45p for 10 weeks.

We will be limiting class to 10 participants. Cost is $400.00. Dog must be at least 6 months old.

Come out to Cars and Coffee at Robert’s Automotive on Saturday, 5/18 and see the BEST State Farm Agent, Jenifer Sellers and adoptable dogs from Friends of Sangamon Animal Control from 9:00am to 11:00am.

Help out the dogs waiting for homes at SCAC and maybe even find a new family member. (Items being collected include Milk Bones, Pill Pockets, pate food for small dogs, Diamond Naturals Chicken & Rice, sturdy toys/balls, medium/large Nylabones, medium-sized collars, Kongs, and AA batteries.)
