Fourth of July Anticipation

Fireworks, sparklers, and music, oh my! It's about that time...Fourth of July is quickly approaching! 🇺🇸 If you haven't heard any in your neighborhoods yet already, fireworks will soon be popping off and crowds will be soaking up the rays at pools, hosting barbecues, and relishing the warm weather. 😎☀️🎆 As much as we humans may enjoy the festivities, our pets...well...more often than not, they're quite the opposite. 😬❌ The loud booms, crashes, whistles, and cheers frequently make animals anxious and stressed, leading to unwanted behaviors such as pacing, urinating, whining, etc. If you know your pet is susceptible to anxiety or have reason to believe they may react badly to these events, we strongly encourage you to speak with your veterinarian now (while July 4th is still a few days away). Your vet can prescribe calming medications to help your pet remain composed and ease their stress (and therefore ease yours, too!). These medications are commonly refillable once prescribed, as well. 🩺 If your pet has already taken calming medications from your vet before and has been seen within the last year, call ahead for a refill, as these medications frequently run short around this time of year (for good reason!). 📞 Your pet deserves to have a blast with you and your loved ones, too! We're so excited to share the big news with our Family... 👀📱 Introducing PetDesk, our new clinic app! 🐾 PetDesk opens the door to so many new features, including two-way texting, booking your own appointment, and accessing your pet's prescriptions, vaccine records, and other reminders! And don't worry...paw rewards can still be earned and used (if you already have an account through our old Vet2Pet app, all of your paws will be transferred to your PetDesk account, so none will be lost)! 🥳 Creating an account is as simple as 1, 2, 3: 1) Go to your phone's app store and type in "PetDesk" -- then press that download button! 2) Verify your information upon registry -- it may ask for your name, email, phone number, and/or both. 3) If you already have a file in our clinic's system, you and all of your pets' information will automatically load up under your account, making the transfer easy peasy! You'll have the option to update, add, or remove any information as you choose. 📝 From there, you'll be able to schedule your own appointments through Vetstoria, request prescription refills, text us and receive text answers/updates from us in return, load up your pet's vaccine records, upload photos, and even create personalized profiles for your furbabies! 🐶😺 All accounts under Vet2Pet will be deactivated after March 1st as we transition to PetDesk. We are so excited for this change and look forward to all the ways our Family will benefit from it, both inside and outside of the clinic! 💙🐾💚
