Puppy vet checks today. Our Everest and Bell litters start heading to their forever homes tomorrow. We have a few still available. 17 happy healthy puppies all checked out perfect at the vet today. Thanks so much to Companion Animal Clinic for always taking such great care of our babies.

Bowie is home for a week from hunt training! We headed to tractor supply, pet smart, and picked up Kenzie from work! Fun day running errands with my buddy.

Congratulations to our “Stormie” Barafields Enchanted Tornado at Storybrooke. She showed off and won Best Opposite to Beginner Puppy Best In Show twice, at both the Potomac Golden Retriever Specialty and the Chesapeake Golden Retriever Specialty! Workers at Pryor Public Schools are in the spotlight this week at a national conference. While they might not be able to give a speech—the district’s therapy dogs are sure to win the hearts of other teachers learning about new ways to help their students.

2023 Recap for Storybrooke Goldens.

We had an amazing year this year. We focused on a lot of training, competing, new titles, and having so much fun. This year was my first year to really focus on Beauty, Brains, and Function. We earned titles this year in all 3 categories. I am so proud of my amazing team Storybrooke.

For the Beauty category this is Conformation - Kira, Everest, Izzy, Lucy, Bell, and Riya all earned their CCA (Certificate Of Conformation Assessment) awarded by Golden Retriever Club of America. This title is earned by being evaluated on structure, movement, size, and personality by 3 judges and scored based on these categories, to evaluate if they meet the written standard of the golden retriever and if they are deemed worthy to be considered breeding worthy. We are happy to say all girls passes with flying colors. To do these titles we had some amazing trips. We traveled to North Carolina, Northern New York, Niagra Falls, and New Jersey. So proud of my beautiful girls.
We also received several AKC group and Best of Breed puppy placements for our new puppy Marley.

For the Bains category this is Performance -
We had Everest earn her BN beginner novice obedience title and her Rally novice title and start on her Rally Intermediate Titles. Pippa earned her BN beginner novice obedience title and her Rally novice title and start on her CD open obedience Title. Pippa also started in agility and received some legs towards her lure coursing titles. We also dove into the fun of Scentwork this year. We have pippa getting ready for her advanced runs and we have Lucy, Bell, Riya, Bowie and Marley starting on odor.

For our function category this is field work- Riya earned her entire JH junior hunt title. Marley and baby Bowie have started their journeys and are retrieving beautifully. Stay tuned for their exciting year next year. We also had Pippa start training for her Senior Hunt and WCX titles.

We also had an amazing trip to Spain to bring home our new baby boy Bowie! He has brought so much excitement to our group. He is such a sweet, smart, happy boy.

We also had several amazing fun litters of puppies. I am so thankful for each new life and all the joy our babies bring to their families. We had several puppies placed as full time service dogs and it is amazing to follow their progress and adventures. Huge thank you to all our amazing puppy families.

Looking forward to an amazing 2024. We have started the plans and we are so excited about where the new year will take us.

Stacy, I had Lexi from Elsa and Simba’s November 2020 litter at the Short Pump dog Park this evening and who did we run into to but Whistle, Simba and Elsa’s previous litter.
