Donna is a 7 y.o., 65 pound German Shepherd mix should be available for adoption through Heather's Foster Dogs NFP. (go to https://heathersfosterdogs.org/available-dogs/ for a more complete description & information on how to adopt her) Housebroken, Donna is people & dog friendly. Donna is looking for caregivers who have have a fenced yard & recent Shepherd/big dog experience. A doggy playmate would be a plus. Donna has quickly warmed up to strangers who let her discover them. Donna has exhibited some minor food guarding behavior. The wonderful staff at Joliet Township Animal Control took Donna off the streets, cared for her & looked for a rescue group to treat Donna's health issues.

Donna is scheduled for surgery on Monday, 27 December. The vet will remove her large mammary tumor, spay Donna, clean her teeth & insert her microchip.
