With summer festivities kicking off, we want to remind you about the symptoms of heatstroke and prevention tips:

-Never leave your pet unattended in a car
-When hot/humid, keep your pet’s time outdoors limited
-Keep your pet hydrated
-Ensure your pet has ventilation and a cool environment
-Dogs with short noses are at higher risk due to their condensed facial anatomy and restricted ability to cool themselves
-If any signs of heat stroke appear, contact our team immediately.

New puppy or kitten? No problem! We are taking new clients 😊

Leela would like you to know that going to the vet was fun and she got lots of treats and all the love from the entire team while she was here for her first visit. 🐶🐾

It's important we create positive experiences at the vet with the help of treats and positive reinforcement to create good behaviors for future visits. This not only applies to puppies, but to all the patients we see. We use fear free techniques and approaches to ensure your furry loved ones have the least stressful experience possible when they come to see us. ❤

Did you know that less than 10% of the pets that are unchipped will return home each year?

A microchip is a secure, reliable, permanent identification for your pet and the process is simple and affordable. Microchipping your pet can help ensure that if your pet goes missing, they can be identified and find their way back to you.

If your pet is chipped, make sure their information is up to date. To help keep pets close to their loved ones, share this post and remind your friends to !

Is your pet scooting or licking their rear? It could be their a**l glands.

A**l glands are located on the rear of dogs and cats. The glands produce an oily, fishy-smelling fluid that helps with scent marking. Sometimes these glands can get impacted or infected.

Soft, consistent stool, as well as allergies, are common causes of irritation. If your pet is scooting, licking excessively, or showing signs of discomfort around their rear end, contact us! We will help to identify the cause and determine the best course of treatment.

With tomorrow being Hairball Awareness Day, we wanted to remind our cat parents about the importance of preventing hairballs.

Accumulated from excessive grooming, hairballs can build in your cat’s digestive system and either get coughed up or in some cases, need surgical removal.
If your cat is excessively vomiting, lethargic, loses their appetite, or has diarrhea or constipation, these may be signs of a blockage and you should contact our team immediately.
