This guy came in that will need a new cape so I wanted to study the muscle more to see what they do in different ear positions. Some may say that’s sick to look at yet if you don’t know where the muscle are and how they move then how is your taxidermist to do a realistic job. It’s the little things that bring them to life.

Well this guy got delivered to his owner in Florida. As you can see we have a very very happy young man. He was not with his Dad when I meet him in Florida so the young man called me to say how happy he is. That means more than anything. Keep hunting buddy kill a stud this season.

Rules
1. $50 per person
2. Ohio harvest only
3. Venmo me your fee by 9-27
4. Will pay the top 2 60/40
5. There will be no trophies given just cash.
6. Scoring will be done at Burdette’s taxidermy shop by the same guys on a set date that will be after season That means will not take a score sheet from a different person scoring your deer
7. Let’s have fun doing this I don’t want a headache.

So a first for me or the first I’m aware of.
I mounted this deer up in the first pic a few weeks back that I had to use a replacement cape on as the original cape was no good. Yes the owner knew about. After completing the mount and the owner came and picked it up very happy as well. Yet after getting home he realized I turned the deer the wrong way for what he asked for. He called to tell me on Friday evening yet I was in Kentucky for the opener of bow season told him when I got back I would come to his house pick up the deer and remount it as I had a extra cape in freezer ready to go.
Picked his mount up at 3pm Sunday and came back to shop rehydrated the hide got his skull cap out and grabbed one of my personal deer and put my skull cap in mount that was turned wrong. I stand by my word that if there is a problem I will do all I can to make it right. Last pic is the deer remounted turned the correct way.

Turkey lamb made out of Styrofoam what are you guys think?

This rock is made out of Styrofoam and a basecoat on top with a mash looks awfully dark in the video open to new ideas of painting. I think it needs a little more brown, but I’m really enjoying this and having fun.

Pretty happy with how Amanda’s buck turned out

This is the wife’s deer She wanted him the way he was when he was coming in. This dude was pissed running all the other deer off and wanting to kick but. So here he is hooking aggressive and I’m blowing his hair up like they do when they are mad. Have a lot more to do yet.
