Sadly we have to announce a 24 hour cancellation / No Show policy. As a small business we can simply not accept no shows and last minute cancellations. We are literally holding a spot for your pet and it’s a total loss when we can at least have a chance to get another person scheduled. We truly appreciate our clients and their dogs. We understand things change but we simply can not take these losses. We are implementing a 50% of the cost of service fee for 24 hour (Our Business Days) or less cancellation/change and 100% of the cost for No Show appointments. This will be paid when canceled and/or before your next appointment is scheduled. If this is not paid we will not accept you as a client any longer. Please watch for an invoice from Square it can be paid by card. We appreciate your understanding and hope to see you soon. Thank you.

Just a heads up we are at least 3 weeks out on bath brush deshed dogs and can not take new clients for haircuts. Once we do get you in we are happy to reschedule then so we don’t run into longer wait times between appointments. We appreciate all our clients. Also please remember to leave us a google review. After letting a couple employees go a few weeks ago we have gotten 2 poor reviews in which we have not taken new clients in quite sometime now and everyone we groom are regular clients. Experienced Dog Bather Wanted

Wichita area. I’m looking to hirean experienced bather that can deshed and trim feet, sanitary, and ears. We are will to teach the right person. If we have to teach it will be a set weekly pay until you can do everything on your own with your dogs. If experienced we will pay commission. We are a quality over quantity shop. We have a certain way we like dogs to be done and happy to teach our methods. Typical dogs would be goldens, shepherds, pitbulls and Labradors etc. nothing that needs a full body haircut. Dog Bather Position

Backroads Grooming is looking for another bather. We are happy to teach the right person. This is a full time (40hours) position and we are looking for a reliable person as we are appointment based and you will have a daily schedule of dogs. Applicants must have reliable transportation and show up every shift. Starting pay is $12 an hour. We are open Tuesday through Saturday 9am to 5pm and closed Sundays and Mondays. We are seeing so many dogs with grass seed all over themselves. To avoid expensive surgeries and painful infections check toes and all over regularly as they can embed in a matter of hours.

Our staff is well trained and well equipped to get that pesky hair off your dog. Weather changes weekly in Kansas have many breeds blowing coats and leaving it everywhere at home. We are committed to get as much coat out so you can enjoy the more fun activities with your pet.
Services include:
• a before bath bush out and de-shed
• bathed twice to get them extra clean
• gland expression
• blown dry by hand (dog willing)
• repeat de-shed and brush out
• nails trimmed
• trimming of feet, pads and sanitary areas

Weekends have been tough as many us have missed a lot of family gathering and events being open on Sundays. Keeping nails trimmed is a huge part of owning a dog responsibly. House dogs live the good life and don’t naturally wear them down well. Please if they are tapping and clicking while walking then bring them in. It’s extremely painful and uncomfortable for your pet and we are happy to get them in anytime we are open. Nail trims are a walk-in service and we will grind them as well (dog willing) all for $10. No appointment needed. Nail trims should be done anywhere from 2 weeks to 4 weeks depending on the dogs nail growth.

Appointment conflicts whether it’s work, kids or just need a quiet day! Wag’en Tail has daycare open from 7 am to 7 pm Monday through Friday. You can drop off before we are even open and pick up after we are closed. We can easily go grab your pup from daycare at their scheduled appointment time and take them back when finished. Your dog has a fun day and is cleaned up when you pick them up. Wag’en Tail staff can can take your payment at anytime if we are closed. Just another great alternative so you don’t have to leave work early or be rushed to do errands. Everyone loves a well exercised pet after a long day 🤣

Having nails done regularly is easy with us. Nail trims are walk in service for the days and times we are open. We do grind nails if the dog is willing. Cost is $10 per dog.

Backroads Grooming and Wag’en Tail Ranch Daycare has changed so much. We have expanded with a new bathing room! We are so happy to be able to contain some of the hair lol. Wag’en Tail is soon to open the doggy daycare center with large indoor area and large outdoor areas for both small and large dogs. You can now schedule grooming and drop your dog off at daycare for the day and be able to drop off and pick up later if you use the daycare. They are open 7am to 7pm Monday through Friday.

Help Wanted

Backroads Grooming is looking to add another Dog Bather to our team. This is a full time position. Open Thursday through Monday from 9 am to 5 pm and weekends are a must (We are opening on Sundays). This job requires a lot of physical work from lifting big dogs to standing all day. Being on time and maintaining your work schedule is a must! We will train the right person. Learning to properly brush and wash lots a different breeds. Drying dogs fully with good equipment. Customer service and a willingness to learn. Come meet the crew and see for yourself. Excited to announce that Wag’en Tail is in the process of adding a daycare area right next to us. Please bare with construction and please still park on the concrete if possible. It will be a 2 lane carport. For dogs that staying longer they can now have a few hours of daycare. They put in beautiful K9 artificial grass to help keep your pets clean after grooming. We are also expanding our grooming space with a separate bathing room. Big changes and we are super excited!!!

Price Increase Announcement
Small Breed price has increased.
We have raised out prices for FULL BODY HAIRCUT dog start at $50 and up from there. The cost is by breed. This means that the $40 plus tax grooms for Pomeranians, Shih tzus, Schnauzers, Poodles, Yorkies, Westies etc. all start at $50 plus tax as of 6/5/2021.
