Yey! It's Friday again and we are busy busy! We are still booking out almost 6 weeks for our grooming services. Also we are starting to fill up for our Thanksgiving boarding, just an FYI. Let's get to some Friday Fun Facts and we hope everyone has a lovely weekend!
Elephants never forget
Elephants have excellent memories and can travel long distances, so they need to remember where to find food and water.
Octopuses have three hearts
Two of an octopus's three hearts move blood past its gills, where it releases carbon dioxide and gains oxygen.
Kangaroos can't walk backwards
Kangaroos can only hop forward due to the unique anatomy of their hind legs.
Sloths p**p once a week
Sloths are creatures of habit and usually p**p in the same spot once a week.

Happy Friday everyone!! We had a great week and as always we appreciate all your love and support! Let's get to some Friday Fun Facts and we hope everyone has a great weekend!
Friday the 13th is thought by many to be the unluckiest day in the Gregorian calendar.
Very little is known about the origins of the day's notoriety. Some historians believe that the superstitions surrounding it arose in the late 19th century. The first documented mention of the day can be found in a biography of Italian composer Gioachino Rossini, who died on a Friday the 13th. A 1907 book, Friday the Thirteenth, by American businessman Thomas Lawson, may have further perpetuated the superstition.
Another account suggests that the day has been associated with misfortune since 1307 when on a Friday the 13th, the French king gave the orders to arrest hundreds of Knights Templar in France.
The fear of Friday the 13th is also called friggatriskaidekaphobia or paraskevidekatriaphobia. Now say that 10 times really fast!
F***gatriskaidekaphobia comes from F***g, the Norse goddess of wisdom after whom Friday is named, and the Greek words triskaideka, meaning 13, and phobia, meaning fear. Paraskevidekatriaphobia is also derived from Greek: paraskeví translates as Friday, and dekatria is another way.
Fittingly, Alfred Hitchcock Was Born on the 13th!

Another wonderful Woofstock!!!☮️🐾❤️

It's Friday again and just a reminder that we will be at Woofstock tomorrow to support our friends at Homeward Bound, Addison County's Humane Society. We are so happy to report we have raised a little over 2 thousand dollars!! We also hope to see some of our fur friends at Woofstock!
Woofstock: Walk for the Animals is Homeward Bound's premiere fundraising event. It consists of a leisurely 1 mile walk around Middlebury followed by music, refreshments, and the ever popular doggie dip in the town pool! We bring together animal lovers from all over Addison County and beyond, raise important funds, and have a lot of fun! Every dollar raised goes directly to care for the homeless animals of our region and those being served through our community programs.

You all are amazing! We met our goal and have now made over 1,400. to donate to Homeward Bound! Please feel free to keep donating, they are an amazing resource not only helping the animals in our county but other countys with the spay and neuter services as well as helping those in need with the pet core program that provides vaccines, flea and tick medicines and much more! Let's not forget the animals in their care that also have needs. We are blessed to have such a place and need to make sure it's funded. Thank you all who support our friends at Homeward Bound!

It is with a sad and heavy heart that we learned of our good fur friend Smuggs passing. We will miss you terribly and you will always be a part of or pack little fella. Our thoughts and prayers go out to his humans who are devastated. Rest easy and know how much you were loved. 💔
