Calli Needs a Home ❤️

Calli was returned to us after 10 YEARS.

And sadly, her story has some really hard chapters. During those ten years, Calli was declawed and was even put outside—despite an adoption contract that specifically promised those things would never happen.

She has been through enough.

Calli is a genuinely lovely girl. She faithfully uses her litter box, and she is completely okay with friendly dogs. What she is not okay with is living in a multi-cat household.

And honestly? She has made her position VERY clear. 😂 She has absolutely no interest in making friends with the other residents here. None. Zero. She would prefer to mind her own business, thank you very much.

She’s not the only cat around here who has checked the “returned after 10 years” box lately. But she is the one who simply isn’t thriving in the sanctuary environment.

We aren’t actively doing adoptions right now, but we would really, really love to make an exception for Calli.

Right now, she lives in a bathroom because it’s the only place where she can feel comfortable and separated from the other cats. And this sweet girl deserves so much more than a bathroom.

She deserves a couch. A sunny window. A person of her own. A quiet home where she doesn’t have to compete for space or constantly be surrounded by cats she doesn’t want to be around.

Calli doesn’t need a huge rescue operation or a complicated rehabilitation plan.

She just needs someone who will look at this beautiful girl and say, “You’re home now. And this time, it’s forever.” ❤️

Sometimes rescue gives you a full-circle moment so beautiful that it stops you in your tracks. ❤️

I received an incredible donation given In Memory of LittleGirl, aka LittleBarnKitty.

The donor shared:

“LittleGirl was feral when I adopted her 13 years ago. It took 6 years, but she became the sweetest, bestest lap/pillow kitty. I recently lost her to an inner ear tumor. I’ve said goodbye to a lot of kitties, but this was the hardest decision I’ve ever had to make. Here is $100 for each year I had her. Thank you, Elise, for the joy she brought.”

And honestly… this is why we rescue. 🥹

LittleGirl was one of those cats that could have so easily been overlooked. A cat who started out feral and eventually became someone’s sweetest little lap and pillow kitty. A cat who was loved deeply for 13 beautiful years.

And now, years later, that little feral cat’s life has come full circle and is helping other cats.

That is the magic of rescue.

It isn’t always about knowing exactly where a cat’s story will end. Sometimes it’s simply about giving them that first chance. A chance to be loved. A chance to become someone’s family. A chance to completely change a human heart in the process.

Because sometimes the cats we save come back to remind us that we really did make a difference- and that’s what matters most to me.

LittleGirl mattered. Her life mattered. Her 6 years of being someone’s beloved lap kitty mattered.

And now her legacy will help other kitties matter, too. ❤️🐾

Thank you, LittleGirl, for the beautiful reminder that rescue is a circle—and sometimes, years later, it comes all the way back around. 🌈

🖤🤍 Meet Santini & Hopper! 🤍🖤

Our little international arrivals are making their way to us all the way from Roatán, Honduras! 🇭🇳✈️

Those who have followed our journey know we’ve transitioned into sanctuary mode so we can focus on the cats already in our care. We rarely make exceptions—but when we learned about these two babies in Roatán, we simply knew we had to help.

These sweet siblings have already overcome so much, and now they’re getting the second chance every kitten deserves: safety, love, and a forever family. ❤️

Santini is the handsome tuxedo gentleman with oversized ears, white mittens, and the sweetest little face. Hopper is his adventurous sister, full of curiosity, confidence, and kitten mischief.

They’ll be arriving soon, settling into foster care, and will be available for adoption after completing their quarantine, vaccinations, and veterinary care.

If you’ve been waiting for the perfect pair, these two just might steal your heart. 🐾
