Our Tufts V.E.T.S. donated two ventilators to our big human sister Tufts Medical. Veterinarians professionals doing their part in this nightmare, not only by helping our pets, but our physicians, too. Stay safe, my friends.

Ventilators typically used for animals are being repurposed for humans amid a shortage during the coronavirus outbreak.

Our goal as veterinary ophthalmologists is to preserve vision in our beloved dogs and cats. Unfortunately, sometimes despite our every effort this is not possible, and our pets become blind. Often I find myself in the position of facing desperate owners coping with the dread of sight loss in their loyal friends. They fear that their quality of life may be impacted and they may lose their love for life.
Introducing ChiChi. She’s not only blind, but she’s missing both eyes, that were removed due to a severe ocular disorder called glaucoma. I believe a video is worth a thousand words. This is ChiChi on one of her hundreds of hikes with her beloved owner. She’s a testimony to the will and resilience of our pets, that teach us something every day. Blindness has not stopped her from enjoying her life with her family, who adores her! Thank you, ChiChi.

Our dogs can see colors, just not exactly the same ones we perceive.
However, they have superior vision at night!

Dogs can see more than just black and white.
