In honor of Veterans Day, we’re sharing Lex's inspiring story. Lex was an eight-year-old German Shepherd, who served alongside U.S. Marine Corps handler Corporal Dustin J. Lee. After losing his companion in an attack, Lex refused to leave his handler's side, showcasing the unbreakable bond between them. Lex became the first fully active military dog to be granted early retirement to be adopted by Lee’s parents. He lived out his days in comfort, embodying the heroic memory of Lee.
We salute all the courageous men, women, and service dogs who fought for our freedom. Thank you for your service. ❤️🇺🇸

Happy Howl-o-ween! 🎃
Here are some quick tips to keep your fur baby safe this Halloween:
🍬Keep candy out of reach! Chocolate and artificial sweeteners (like xylitol) can be dangerous for pets.
👻Choose pet-friendly costumes! Make sure your fur baby’s costume isn’t too tight and doesn’t have small parts they could swallow.
🐈⬛Keep them indoors and away from the door during trick-or-treating. The noise and costumes can be stressful and may cause them to run away.
Share a pic of your fur baby in their Halloween costume below—we’d love to see your spooky cuties!

Easter lilies are a common household flower, but they’re highly toxic to cats. Even just licking a petal or chewing on a leaf can lead to acute kidney failure in our feline friends. Just like us, dogs can have confusing body language. Understanding this is crucial for keeping everyone safe and ensuring your fur baby feels comfortable. Dogs can’t speak, so respecting their boundaries by ‘listening’ to their body is key. 🔑

A Hospital Designed for Pet Parents Just Like Us at Passionate Paws
Animals are more than pets, they are family. They love you unconditionally. They provide constant companionship. They are always there when you need support. In return, you love them deeply, protect them, and do everything in your power to keep them healthy and happy. If this is you, then you are a pet parent just like us at Passionate Paws Animal Hospital.
We have designed an innovative hospital for pet parents. Welcome to Passionate Paws! The pet parent hospital. A hospital that understands your pet is your baby, promotes a fear-free experience, and partners with you as the primary caregiver in developing customized treatment plans.
We wanted to make the experience for both pet and pet parent a better one. A visit to the vet should be pleasant and fun, not stressful and fearful. In order to do this we completely reinvented the look, feel, and even smell that has long been associated with a typical animal hospital. Throughout the hospital, bright, pleasing, and calming colors have been scientifically selected to provide a relaxing spa-like environment for both pets and pet parents. Our lobby is divided to provide a more comfortable seating experience with cat patients on one side and dog patients on the other, minimizing stressful interactions. Our pet care suites are individually tailored to species to maximize a fear-free experience. Dogs are never allowed into our cat-only suite in order to eliminate any dog odor that might stress a cat. All suites feature natural pheromone diffusers, natural daylight LEDs, pressure-relieving dog beds or stimulating cat tree, and psychoacoustically engineered calming music specific to dogs and cats. Don’t worry mom and dad, we didn’t forget about you. Pet parents can enjoy comfy seating in each suite as well. To ensure offensive animal smells are a thing of the past, we carefully selected flooring materials that are resistant to odor causing bacteria, follow strict cleaning protocols of our own design, and use essential oil diffusers to produce pleasing aromas.
Unlike traditional animal hospitals that practice conventional medicine, Passionate Paws offers more treatment options through its uniquely integrative approach to pet healthcare. Integrative medicine does not just focus on symptoms, but puts the pet at the center, addressing the real causes of illness while promoting wellness and maintenance of health. By definition, integrative pet healthcare strengthens the bond among veterinarian, pet, and pet parent, focuses on the whole pet, is evidence based, and utilizes all appropriate therapeutic approaches (both conventional and complementary -- acupuncture, laser, physical therapy, chiropractic, herbal and food therapy) as well as veterinary specialists to deliver optimal health and well being.
You will never find a one-size-fits-all approach to treatment at Passionate Paws. It is our mission to practice integrative medicine in partnership with you to provide the safest and most effective healthcare plan uniquely designed to treat your whole pet, not just the disease.
We designed Passionate Paws Animal Hospital to allow you to focus on what matters most, the health and wellbeing of your furbaby. No worries about stressing out your pet. No concerns for fearful interactions with staff or other pets. No limitations set by narrow-minded and non-progressive medicine. Just your pet at the center of everyone’s attention.
A unique experience for passionate pet people. The pet hospital for pet parents -- Passionate Paws Animal Hospital.
