We had great little helper this morning!

Sophia’s dream is to be vet when she is older so she got to assist and watch some appointments this morning with us!

The highlight of the morning was the appointment for health certificates for 7 lab puppies! 🥰

A Good Samaritan brought in an intact male cat found on the side of the road between Sauve Rd and River Rd on Route 5 in Westminster. He is black with a little white on his belly. Unfortunately he did not make it- if anyone knows anything or they think it may be their cat please call the animal hospital at 802.722.4196.

Meet Fuzzy!

He was a stray roaming the streets of Bellows Falls that stumbled upon the home of a wonderful couple who happen to be our clients. They took him in of course! Unfortunately, not long after that he started to not feel well. After numerous diagnostics, he was diagnosed with FIP in early July. FIP is an "untreatable" disease that affects the immune systems of cats. Fuzzy was considered a candidate for an experimental antiviral treatment that consisted of 84 days of injections and oral meds. This intensive regiment appears to have worked! TODAY HE IS THRIVING- living the life of a normal cat since treatment ended!

We were happy to be able to use some of the CARING PAWS fund to assist the owners with this very expensive medication. Thank you to all who have donated to this fund-without you all things like this wouldn't be possible.

Also a HUGE shout out to Fuzzy's owners- the commitment, time and the effort you put into the process of treating him was AMAZING! We will miss seeing you guys everyday, but we couldn't have asked for a better outcome.

PS. THANK YOU FOR THE CAKE- IT WAS DELICIOUS!

Around 4 am this morning some of the WAH team welcomed 5 little baby Boston Terriers by C-section! Mom did a great job and her and the babies are all doing well! 🐶🤎
