Canine influenza, or “dog flu,” is a highly contagious respiratory illness that can be passed from dog to dog. It typically starts with a cough and can be mistaken for the more common and well-known Bordetella. In some cases, canine influenza can progress to pneumonia.

The APCSM is excited to be participating in the multi-shelter event: “Mass Saves, hot savings on cool dogs” next week!

The event is taking place July 15th – 21st and is offering waived fees for dogs currently available in animal shelters throughout the region. Yes, all considerations for meeting adoption requirements will be in-place to ensure the perfect matches. Summer can be a tough time for dogs to be adopted and the APCSM and other shelters are hoping this event will encourage families to consider adopting their new family member.
