As many of you my know I decided to take a "farm" break this summer. I'm re-evaluating the style of hives I've been using and deciding on making a major change in equipment. I'm also taking some time to travel with my husband, who has been given a unique roll at work. It's been good for us!❤ Image my JOY at being reminded of beekeeping history, and choice of equipment changes made over the centuries!❤ Sustainability has always been close to a beekeepers heart, no matter the Century!

It's that time of year. When blooms are sparse and competition is high for nectar. Yesterday while walking the grounds of Applewood Estate with my wonderful friend April K., I watched as the bee's feasted of fall flowers! It was so sweet!
