🎓🎉 Congratulations to Phoebe, our newest graduate! 🎉🎓

This happy-go-lucky Golden Retriever just completed her two week board and train program and absolutely crushed it! 👏 Phoebe's mom wanted to improve her obedience reliability with the goal of transitioning to off-leash obedience. 😊 Over the last couple weeks, we focused on building Phoebe's heeling skills and creating a robust off-leash recall! In addition, Phoebe worked on her impulse control and neutrality around dogs, people, and plenty of distractions. 💯 During her turnover, she excelled in each command and impressed mom with her loose leash heeling, speedy recall, and overall good manners! Now that they have a more effective way of communicating, the sky is the limit! ❤️ We are so proud of Phoebe and will miss her playful nature and sweet snuggles. Congrats again, Phoebe, and welcome to the Ridgeside K9 Family! 🎓🐾

Today we focused on our loose leash skills and took advantage of the cooler weather to practice our heel command outside! 🎉🐾 Teaching your dog to walk with you, at your pace and in your direction, without pulling, can be game changing! 😊 These pups are making it look easy, so we started adding in some distractions as well. Congratulations to Kiowa for completing his three week board and train program! This little man is beyond adorable and has some serious s***k! He came to us needing help with reactive barking and barking when left alone. During training he learned a positive and negative marker to help him understand desirable versus undesirable behaviors. After clearing up the communication between he and his parents, he now knows how to stay neutral when on leash and to stay quiet when left alone. He and his parents did a fabulous job with the training and obedience commands. Kiowa is now ready to strut his stuff and show the world what he has learned. Good luck guys, welcome to the Ridgeside family!

Congrats to Archie the lab on completing his 3 week board and train! This young pup is go-go-go all the time and is extremely excitable. Archie came to learn some basic commands, but also worked on building impulse control and focus. We are so proud of his progress and know he can now be successful with the right communication! **Every Walk With Your Dog is an Adventure** Treat each walk as an opportunity to explore and bond with your dog 🙌 Today, the RSK9 Wi******er trainers went on a group walk, focusing on the heel command and loose leash walking. They introduced the dogs to a new environment, which emphasized their impulse control and sustained attention despite new odors, sights, sounds, other trainers, and unfamiliar dogs.
