Lylah working on her heeling, long down, and overall self control. She’s come a very long way. Very happy with her progress.
Max came to us with some behaviors that needed to be addressed/modified. We got to work as soon as he arrived. Things started very slow but eventually watched him slowly transform as he shows more and more willingness to work. Max’s owners take him everywhere now. Not something they were able to do before he arrived. When we understand the value, we can change the behavior. Changing the behavior, changes the mind.
Change of scenery for Jerry Lee’s training session today.

This is Max. He’s never been inside of a Walmart (or any store for that matter) until today. Now that Max has a firm foundation in obedience, his owner can help Max see the value of getting uncomfortable, to get comfortable. Yes, he was nervous in this new arena of smells, loud noises, and people constantly surrounding him. However, he and his owner were able to walk through this together because the communication is now there, through the power of obedience. They did a great job today!

His face at the end is killing me. 😂
A great example (that I see all the time) of why it’s so important to start early on grinding or clipping your dog’s nails. Max was not a huge fan of getting his nails done before he arrived. With time, patience, and trust built, he’s now enjoying process:)
I love this duo. Always making me laugh when they’re here to visit.
Making progress with this pretty lady.
Progress isn’t perfect, it’s progress. No leashes today. She did great.
It’s amazing what can be accomplished in just 4 weeks.
