The moment you wait for when you have a semi feral momma and babies.

The moment she rubs your hand when your putting food in you know she finally trusts you. I got to pet her the most today without her jumping away from me. The kittens are starting to come to me also instead of running.

Woohoo which means it’s cage cleaning day.

That season has started. Please, please leave young kittens where they were found. Please do not intervene until the kittens appear dirty, unkept, and/or sick for 12-18 hours. Moms will check in and move the kittens if she needs to.

It’s been a while since I have slowed down enough to post. Still doing kitty spay/neuters, helping people with vet care and trapping here and there.

But mainly we have been busy working on the property we bought and getting the critters (2 mini horses, 4 goats (3 most likely pregnant), 3 pigs, chickens and ducks, that we adopted along with the purchase, situated for winter.

A few people have messaged ask if the critters could use anything well of course they always need things but hard for long distance purchases. I made a Amazon list literally with a bunch of random stuff. I have a tractor supply favorites list (ignore the Senior feed it’s for the big horses) for anybody local. Or Tractor Supply gift cards will always help. ❣️ thanks for asking.

Been a busy Kitty day.

-One stray sick kitten call last night and it’s at the vet getting fluids, meds and care. Doc thinks it may of gotten into something not kitty friendly. Send get well vibes ❣️

-One tiny baby moved in. He was 1/3 found in tractor shop. 2 got homes while the last wandered away from their box and then showed back up and now is hanging with us.

When one of the local feral colony boys “looks sick” according to the evening feeder. You get him to the vet asap. Thanks for last minute appointments (bc never know when you can catch a feral) All Animal Care Dallas got him checked out and hopefully on the mend ❤️‍🩹 told him if he stayed more than 2 nights I’d upgrade his room to a larger one lol

No trapping tonight but time for cage cleaning, baths for as many of the 14 kittens that are nice, wormer, de flea, clean eyes and medicate (4 from one liter that’s quarantined bc they aren’t feeling well).

It’s been a day…

❣️Positive 23 Spay/Neuters

Not so positive-5 more kittens and a mommy in labor moved in bringing our total to 14 kittens in 5 cages and 1 momma with 2 kittens currently in a quiet area in my office.

Kittens food and supplies are in high demand. Puppy pads are great for lining cages and making my nightly cleaning easier.

13 kittens from 3 addresses. Gotta grab them when you can or it doesn’t fix the probably at any of the places we are trapping.

Meggan has half and I have half.

Eye meds on the spot bc the kitties needed help asap. More to come for the ones my crew is getting cages ready for now.

On top of all the kittens 18 adults cats were trapped at 4 locations for surgery tomorrow.

Cookies new cage for work. She is snoozing now after snuggling up. She spent the weekend in a similar playpen at the house. She is playing much more and the carrier doesn’t work.

Eating good this morning. Another canned kitten food, kitten milk, probiotic and nose relief mix. 🥰

After a 1 and half hour nap on me in a deep sleep got her switched to a cage with a pet heating pad on low for her to stay warm.

No skimping on the new kittys care. Milk/wet food mash with probiotics, eye cream and nose meds ✅

I caught her eating/drinking before I turned the lights off. Prayers she sleeps well and we figure out a better treatment plan tomorrow.

Newest kitten moved in. From a location one of my fellow cat ladies has been TNR’ing at.

Got a bath in dawn immediately bc it was covered in fleas. Got its nose sucked out, some natural Nose drops and wrapped in heating pad. It will start feeling better having all the fleas off.

Remember we go through lots of supplies the less we have to get from the rescue I foster for the easier it is for them to help me with cats.

I just have to take a minute to send a HUGE amount of love to All All Animal Care Dallas Doc & his staff are fabulous. I can walk in with 10+ cats to be TNR'd & they just laugh and call me when they are done or a bottle baby I just feel like I need checked out and Doc stops his break to help me give the kitten an e***a ❤
