Every Dog Matters Rescue We are a small group of volunteers with the same passion. We want to help the under dogs, the dogs that are over looked.

We are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, in the Youngstown, OH area Our mission is to rescue, rehabilitate and re-home unwanted dogs by creating better lives for them through rescue, foster, training and adpotion The ones that need extra time and training, the ones that need to learn to trust again. We will help any dog that we are able to but our focus will be on the ones that need the extra ti

As 2026 begins, these amazing dogs are starting the year right where they are — safe, loved, and still waiting for their forever homes. While they may not be ringing in the new year on a couch of their own yet, they are full of hope that this will be the year everything changes.

2026 is their year.
The year they find families.
The year they find love.
The year they finally go home. ❤️

As 2025 comes to a close, we’re taking a moment to look back on the incredible dogs who walked through our doors this year. Each one left paw prints on our hearts, and we feel truly grateful and blessed to have played even a small part in their journeys.

To every single supporter of Every Dog Matters — our silent supporters, our dedicated volunteers, and those who continue to show up for us and our dogs time and time again — thank you from the bottom of our hearts. This work would not be possible without you.

Dutches is a 2-3 year-old sweetheart who has been patiently waiting for her forever family.
She’s friendly with other dogs, playful, and full of love to give. She can be timid with people at first but very sweet once she warms up! 💕

She was originally surrendered due to no fault of her own. We’d love to find a home with a fur friend to play with so her personality can really shine.

Due to unforeseen circumstances Princess has found her way back to the rescue. She is an American bully (parents both have papers) born on September 25, 2023. She’s smaller in size, as sweet as could be, loves everyone, rides great in the car, and is super treat-motivated! She loves to snuggle and has so much love to give. Won’t you take a chance on her?

A sweet boy, full of joy, and quietly fighting battles no dog should have to face alone.
Woodley is heartworm and Lyme positive, but you’d never guess it by his smile. He is pure happiness, endlessly friendly, and overflowing with love for everyone he meets.
What he needs now is a calm, loving home where he can rest, heal, and be reminded every day that he is safe and cherished. He would do well in any home, because his heart is open, gentle, and trusting despite everything.
Woodley deserves a family who will walk beside him through this journey — celebrating the good days, supporting him through the hard ones, and loving him the way he loves so freely.

Once a scared puppy found living under a porch, Leia has spent months growing braver every day. From conquering loud noises to mastering the art of being a "house dog," she has shown us what true resilience looks like.

Four years of waiting in the rescue and still believing. 🐾
This is Jamison — our longest resident, our quiet constant, our gentle soul who has watched so many others find their forever while he keeps hoping his is still out there.
Jamison doesn’t need chaos or crowds. He’s happiest as the only animal, in a kid-free home, with someone who understands that trust takes time. But once you earn it? His love is deep, steady, and unwavering. The kind of love that chooses you every single day.
He may not be the loudest or the flashiest, but he is loyal, tender, and full of heart. Jamison is proof that the best relationships are built, not rushed — and the reward is everything.
He’s been waiting so patiently.

Our girl Rosie had so much fun opening her Christmas presents yesterday! 🎄🎁🎅She was showered in presents from Santa and her foster mom, but she is still waiting for her forever home! 🙏 Rosie is about 2 years old. Crate and house trained. She is energetic and loves to play. Rosie is also dog friendly! And look how good she looks, she was once outside eating rocks to survive. She is now a healthy weight and is getting settled to life as a house dog ❤️
