Feline Spay/Neuter - We have just a few openings left for Wednesday, July 17, 2024.

Females (Spays) are $70.00 which includes an upper respiratory and flea/tick treatment administered at the time of the procedure. Males (Neuter) are $50.00 and include the same package. Feral felines are $45.00 -these are felines who cannot be handled by anyone and will require an ear tip. Rabies vaccines can be added for only $5. This is a prepaid service and must be paid to reserve appointment. Call our customer service team at (740) 452-1077 and help us help our community with the over population of felines. ♥️🐾

During the month of June - The Animal Shelter Society is offering $10.00 microchips with a paid vet service (clinic/surgery). ($25. otherwise) Animals deserve to be reunited with their families. They also deserve to not have litters of children. We are offering our low cost spay/neuter clinics during the month of June for both dogs & cats. 🐾♥️

Spay for felines is $70. & feline neuter’s are $50. This includes the upper respiratory vaccine and a flea/tick treatment administered at time of surgery. An additional $5. for rabies vaccine is available.

Dog spays are $165. & dog neuters are $110. (Both up to 60 #- $2. each pound there after). Core Vaccines which covers distemper, parvo, lepto diseases is only an additional $15. Rabies additional cost only $5.00.

Call our customer service at (740) 452-1077 or stop at 1430 Newark Road behind Zane State College to get your appointment set as they go quickly. This is a pre-paid service to get set up. We are a 100% non-profit who offers these services in order to be able to care for the over 100 animals at our facility. Support local 🐾♥️

February is Spay/Neuter Awareness Month! Our friends at Feline Fix by Five are working to create awareness among veterinarians and cat caregivers about the benefits of early-age sterilization. They advocate for kittens to be spayed or neutered before they are five months old.

Did you happen to notice Lacey’s glow-up? She’s all groomed and ready for her forever home! But one problem: She had a long list of people interested but they have declined when they found out she is a senior who is blind in one eye and losing her vision in the other. We are asking our community if there is anyone out there willing to give this older gal a retirement home where she can enjoy her remaining years. Maybe watching soap operas during the day and 48 hours at night, or even the local news on a comfy couch. Do you know someone who is looking for a companion like that? Thank you to the Muskingum County Fairboard for inviting us to participate in the First Storybook Christmas Gingerbread Contest!! It will take place next Sunday, November 19th from 2-4pm at the Veterans Building. You can drop off your Gingerbread House from 11am-1pm. We will have Santa there to snap a picture with your child, pet or self. We are accepting monetary donations for the Griff Medical Fund or dog biscuits, pill pockets, martingale collars, leashes, Kongs or peanut butter for the dogs in our care. Our staff do amazing things every day, and truthfully these awesome people can get taken for granted in our fast paced world.

So here’s a shout out to one of my techs: during a dog spay this morning, the patient needed a little extra medication to keep her sleepy, so while I was pulling the uterus up and out of the incision, Morgan found a vein on the patient who was laying on her back, upside down, and covered by a surgical drape! Meds went in, lab stayed sleepy, everyone wins 😎
