This image was sent to me of a beautiful yellow Cape cobra attempting to eat a leopard tortoise. It is well known among snake enthusiasts that cobras are eating machines and will prey on just about anything they can swallow. They eat small mammals, rodents, birds, eggs, lizards, tortoises, and even other snakes.

Thank you to whoever took this awesome picture. It definitely has started a good few discussions and peeked much interest as it is very unusual to see a snake trying to swallow a tortoise.

Found this beautiful Western Natal Green snake(Philothamnus occidentalis) on a railroad track while doing my run today!

They're completely harmless(non- venomous ), but because of their green colouration they are sometimes mistaken by some people as a Boomslang or Green Mamba and are needlessly killed unfortunately.

They are stunning snakes, beautiful green colouration with some blue tints and white to yellowish belly. Definitely an awesome find!!
