One year ago today, around 8:30pm Agbenoir Bonamico was born. Bonamico is by Legacy Bonheur x Fontine Db , he is a very strong, solid boy who we think is going to be quite tall. This past year has been nothing but love and happiness with Mico, he has got the biggest heart and an incredible temperament. 🥹 The future is so bright for this yearling. Happy first birthday Mico, we love you 🎉❤️

What a champion AgbeNoir Bonamico was on Saturday at South African Warmblood Horse Society free jumping and loose movement show held at United Equestrian Centre. Certainly a day to remember - Mico's first show at 10 and a half months old. ✨

He placed first in his class (loose movement under 1 years old) and received the commendation (3rd) for the whole loose movement part of the show. He displayed such a level of maturity and sensibility. He was happy to do anything asked of him, and only had one requirement - his friend Larry had to come along. So Larry (who got a rosette for bravery) stood in the middle of the ring while Mico showed off his incredible movement and capabilities. It was adorable. This young man has got a massive personality, a balanced demeanour and lovely paces. Although his eyes were wide open during the class (he could never have imagined such an event) he took it all in his stride and coped so very well. 🏅

Thank you to James White and Augustine for trucking and getting Mico ready - and holding his hand and bringing Larry.

Agbenoir Studs’ stallion Tausendschön , finally landed safely into Johannesburg, South Africa on Thursday Night. He flew with the rest of the import horses from Belgium, where they did their pre-import quarantine. ✈️ Tausy is an 11 year old, Totilas stallion out of a Don Diamond mare. Tausy has completed his 30 - day and 50 - day stallion performance testing in Germany, whereby he was awarded his Premium Stallion license status. He has got the kindest heart, the most incredible work ethic and of course an absolute love for his daily bum scratches. 🥰 We can not wait for this handsome stallion to be out of quarantine and at Glenwood Stables. He will be be available for coverings in the upcoming season.🕺🏼

We would love to introduce you to Vitalia é Bella! Vitalia is our beautiful three and a half month old filly, born on the 8th of January 2023. Vitalia is a warmblood x thoroughbred, her sire is the handsome stallion Ville Valo SN (Vivaldi x Stoiber SN) and her dam is Clarissa (Al M***i x Digression). ✨ Vitalia is the kindest, sweetest foal who just wants cuddles and scratches all day. She is a very well built and strong girl, with a huge personality. One can sit with her all day and be entertained! We have a strong feeling that she is going to be an incredible mare to ride in the future, one that will give her all to her rider. 🥰 She has got three big, beautiful and floating paces, we can not wait for the future with this special girl. ✨

We are so proud to announce that in addition to his SA Sport Horse Federation licence, our beloved Legacy’s BONHEUR has been awarded his Full South African Warmblood Horse Society Stallion Licence. 🍾This licence has been awarded to Bonheur based on the outstanding quality of his many progeny, competing across many disciplines, including dressage, showjumping, eventing and showing. Bonheur himself competed all the way up to FEI level in his life, and is still competing enthusiastically, giving of his wonderful temperament and experience to a novice rider and remaining 100% sound, even at his advanced age of 23. Claire Martin, chair of SAWHS specifically mentioned how heartening it was to see a horse of his age, so sound and loving being in the ring at theToyota sponsored Easter Festival this weekend, where the ceremony took place. Say Hello to Agbenoir's Bonamico. Our two-and-a-half-month-old legacy Bonheur (Beau Veneur/ Weltmeyer) X Fontine (Fürst Romancier/ Don Schufro) C**t. 🍾 Bonamico was born on the 25th of December 2022, yes he was the best Christmas present we have ever gotten. He is a long-legged, very strong, and sturdy boy with lots of presence and a huge personality. Bonheur has definitely left his strong stamp on Bonamico, as he is a beautiful golden chestnut, and his facial markings are almost identical to Bonheurs'. He loves a good cuddle and scratch. We are so happy with this gorgeous boy and can not wait to watch him grow and start his dressage career in a few years. The future is bright for Bonamico!😍

We would like to introduce to you, Legacy Stud’s Bonheur. This gorgeous stallion has been with us since early 2018. He has been such a pleasure to work with and one of the best, most gentle horses I have ever come across. Bonheur, born on the 13th of September 1999 – he is by Beau Veneur out of a Weltmeyer mare. Bonheur has competed up to Small Tour level. He was won many successes over the years, some examples being winning the Junior Dressage Derby in 2019 and winning the young rider Advance South African Championship and Freestyle (and Victor Ladorum) in 2020. Bon also loves to do his favorite party tricks, which are piaffe and passage. At 23 years young, he is still actively in work and competition, and helping his rider fall in love with dressage.
Bonheur got awarded his stallion license when he was six years old, by the South African Sport Horse Federation (SASHF) receiving a 73.40% in the inspection by two international inspectors. In this same inspection, five of his young progeny achieved an overall average of 75%, with the lowest mark being 72% and the highest mark for a 2yo c**t being 80%. Bonheur has had many progeny over the years, and his foals all get marked with his “stamp” – Great temperament, 3 good and expressive paces and (mostly) his beautiful deep chestnut colour. His progeny have excelled in many disciplines. In the dressage ring, with many of his progeny competing all through the grades up to small tour. In the show jumping ring, he has progeny competing up to 1.40m – one of his progeny is a small derby winner. He also has progeny competing successfully in showing and cross country. Bonheur’s most recent foal was born on the 25th of December 2022,and is out of a licensed mare by Fürst Romancier. We can’t wait to share more about beautiful Bonheur and his progeny with all of you.🍾
